  Something quick and easy!

  my wife was given a hard time out in field service today.. a householder told her that she belonged to a wacky american religion.

  this upset her so she told them that the governing body of jehovahs witnesses were not all americans and that several nationalities were represented amongst them.. can anybody confirm that this is actually the case?

  where in fact do they all come from?.

  Another thing, Klein was a bozo. I remember he gave a talk at one of our DA's and he sounded like he had a mouthful of marbles. He went up to give a couple talks after that, and later at other DA's. As soon as he got up, I lost all guilt about taking a nap. Did he suffer a stroke at one time?

  Another couple hours of my life that I can't get back...jeez

  Good point ballistic. I, for one, would love to go to an apostofest, but there never are any in New England. Hell, I'd go to Quebec if I knew where/when.

  As far as your other point, I must comment that I wonder how my older brother would post on this board. (He was d'fed at 19-rebelling, that sort of thing) He's content to just move on, I guess. Maybe he's a bigger person than I am...who knows?

  here's another way to fade away from meetings and field service that some witnesses.

  have found success with.. you're allergic to the kingdom hall.. don't laugh, this works!

  all kingdom halls have some dust, mold, mildew,.

  did it bother you that you had to make comments that reflected their way of thinking all the time.

  wouldn't you have loved to say something completely different from what they expected to hear, when making a comment.

  Excellent question JH. I did that when I was about 14, 15 and an elder called me up to do one of those interviews on stage and I responded to one of his questions with the fact that 'since there was one less member of our family in the house' things were a little more difficult. ( I was referring to my older brother recently being disfellowshipped---everyone in the congregation knew what I was talking about, he was very popular in the congregation up until that point, but that is another story). The elder just said, "oh, ok, that's interesting", and then moved on. It's funny how everyone came up to me afterwards, using their own techniques to see if I was 'ok'. My parents talked to me on the way home, asking if I ever thought about him, if I missed him. I said "everyday"....

  ok guys, (simon probably won't like this thread) what's the worst thing you did as a kid to a defenseless animal?

  me, i liked to throw rocks at frogs.

  my mom was so mad when she saw me..... the girls are gonna be pissed..... rotfl

  ok. this was too great to keep to myself.. scenario: divorced 7 years, i have custody of 3 boys, left borg and ex at the same time.

  ex still a dub....stupid, high school drop out....still no girlfriend, new wife, nothing.

  I'm actually glad I started this post. I learned alot about some of the people on this board. (And they learned about me) It's amazing how things that I did as a kid, (20 years ago) will make some people so angry they threaten me with bodily harm. Does anyone find that weird? Who's being more sadistic? I guess man really is just an animal

  Believe it or not, many young boys do this. Is it right? Probably not, but hey it happens. It's impossible to get into the psyche of a young boy when they do these things, but again, it happens. A lot more often than those of you who were offended think. Maybe those of you who have sons, might want to see what they're doing out in the back yard. And even though I don't care for cats, I've never taken a lawnmower to one. Like I said, frogs were the largest animals I've killed. I think I've torn wings off flies too, I can't remember.

  And Robyn, it was impossible for me to know, because you never told me, you just brushed me off...typicalDon't try and explain yourself.

  And 'nonsense', how many hours did it take you to go through the dictionary to find out what that meant? I'm not even going to dignify the rest of what you said with a response.

  I guess that just demonstrates the difference between boys and girls. Just a rite of passage that girls will never understand. (I know there's going to be a few guys who'll say that they were always above that, so don't bother)

  And Robyn, since you never answered my email, I just assumed that you weren't going to anyway.
