Soooooo.... you check the kingdom's prostate? Not too swollen I hope?
it appears diogenesister feels a need for a proper ass-kicking.. ok, if you insist.
i'm a dub proctologist.... attempting to hijack greatteacher's thread "jw parents in severe car accident,".
diogenesister seized my observation that "bloodless surgery is the standard today, not because of the wtb&ts but because of medical progress" with he carefully-crafted argument "bull crap.".

as a good jw i never smoked a joint or nibbled on some brownies.
Emergency rooms full of teenagers who are in urgent need of medical treatment lest they die. Don't do it kids..... ONE puff is all it takes.
I agree the situation is totally out of control. In the US alone there was over 100 000 marijuana related fatalities last year.
When will humanity learn?
as a good jw i never smoked a joint or nibbled on some brownies.
just astonishing.. when i was a child we were taught that fossils were nothing more than mineral ghosts of ancient bones.
even the protein structures can be studied using high resolution mass spectrometry.
this will allow researchers to study the evolution of proteins.
Amazing stuff. Have you read Jack Horner's "How to build a dinosaur"?
There's a lot of info on this topic within the book, although it was still pretty nascent.
i dressed up in a hoodie, double layer so that the cameras at the kingdom hall couldn't recognize me.
i looked in the mirror up and down so i knew that the cameras, at least at the angle that i knew couldn't see my face.
i took this disassociation letter, stuck it in the envelope, labeled it, "(congregation's name...boe" by hand and sealed it.
I was baptized as a Witness in 1987 in what is known as now as the Douglas Park congregation of Chicago.
Aren't you busted now?
john cedars has posted his latest blog "the trouble with apostates (and why it shouldn't put you off becoming one)".
i acknowledge that he is entitled to his opionin just as we are ours but i am disappointed in some of his comments.. at this stage i'll try to be objective about it.
he is defending his own position after all.. what bothers me most is his comments about athiests and christians which he seems to identify as being in conflict with each other.
I personally believe that religion will decline over the next few decades and will then make a comeback in a big way. When ideas go into decline they are usually rediscovered, recycled and repackaged and then hailed as "new".
If human development were to take a left turn into chaos, religion would immediately resurface as a tool for control, rule of law and general order.
If human development continues in its technological strides forward, religion will just be repackaged as a fundamental life philosophy, which is essentially what religion is anyway.
In the meantime the debate between religion and atheism is pretty neat and I have my popcorn and soda ready for the next exciting chapter. The conclusion to this debate on the fundamental meaning of life (which usually is at the core of these contests) is actually forgone though: No matter what, no one gets out of this alive.
i thought about sending you a pm but it might make an interesting open discussion.
i've seen you express the lack of good pro-god ex-witnesses to engage with.
i don't know about ex-witnesses, but there are a few witnesses who've written on these issues.
Can you tell me does the first link work?
Nope. Here's another link to it: http://www.chronosynchro.net/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/Dating-the-Deluge.pdf
Anyhoo just on the surface Gertoux bites off a lot and then tries to chew. According to Gertoux not only is the accepted Archaeological and Geological chronology totally incorrect, but he also takes the odd swing at evolution. All the while using the Watchtower chronology as his guiding and shining light:
For example, remember this out of the old aid book?
Arguing with Gertoux would be similar to the suffering that many Atheists had to endure when they had to sit through the seven DVD's of Kent Hovind and then had to construct not only the rebuttal but the absolute demolition of his arguments (which continues to this very day).
One would have to take his arguments one at a time... Blegh :(
it was always boring, and i was afraid that i was gonna get attacked by a dog.
i actually almost got attacked by a rottweiler once.
i didnt get paid for it, nobody listened to us, i actually had guys make passes at me while i was out doing street corner, i was always afraid i would get grouped and raped.
One day on field service a guy shot me behind the ear with a BB gun. LOL
One day on field service I met an old Nazi who had been indoctrinated by the Hitler youth in his teens. It was a strange encounter and he was still a Nazi bastard.
One day on field service I encountered a single mother and young toddler at her apartment. I recognized her immediately. A couple of years before we had had a wild fling (this was before I became a JW). And there I was, clean cut, trying to sell her on morality. hehe
just a little disclaimer: english isn't my first language (i'm from france) thus the poor writing skills.here is the situation: i'm not a jw.
however, i'm in the process of becoming one.
in fact, i'm studying with the jw's, and i'll proceed to become an unbaptized publisher as soon as i finish the first book.to make a long story short i was introduced to the truth when i was 18een.
Hi Esmeralda001,
Two things:
1. You can't be friends with everyone and some people will hate you just because they can. In this "elderette's" case I suspect its a case of envy.
2. Carefully consider your involvement with the Jehovah's Witness religion. The shunning you are experiencing from this particular sister and her family will be multiplied one hundred fold if you ever decide to leave.
Good luck with your medical degree and I sincerely hope that you don't join the Jehovah's Witnesses.
i was thinking the other day about trends.
think back over the decades and how generally the majority of people will feel or like or dislike the same things.
people comment how awful and ugly things that trended in the past were.
Some days ago i watched a programme where the bird flight was mentioned. As far as i remember the bird flight is based on three simple natural principles, 1. Remain in the band, 2. Keep distance,
