  Remember...Remember...The Sixth of November?

  some big announcement or reveal is coming from the borg november 6th, according to the exjw reddit.. https://www.reddit.com/r/exjw/comments/13xljaa/secret_boxes_to_be_opened_only_in_november_6th/.

  what do you guys think it could be?.

  my guess is a study companion to go with their new jesus series, they really need to rebrand at this point..

  The GB couldn`t be stupid enough to issue the hard hitting message that they have been hinting about since their inception could they ?

  Thinking that the possible persecution that might take place will bring the prophecy true?

  The rank & file will know about this very soon if they don`t know about it already.

  Gossip spreads like wildfire in congregations and I`m sure a PIMO will make sure word gets around .

  I do believe there are many PIMO`s out their to see that this occurs.

  The next few months should be very interesting to see how the R&F react to all of this.

  I think i`ve got them all from 1960 - 1998 Approx. And those years sums up the time I was converted as a 20 year old until the time I left .

  Up until recently my wife and I kept communicating with a couple that had also faded because of elderly family still in and another sister who was a dear friend ,however in the past few days i haven`t been able to reach them .

  I hope everything is OK with them ,but at our age who knows.?

  Anybody else interested in what congs,you attended ? You never know you might strike up old friends who wondered whatever happened to you .? and vice versa.

  Does the Governing Body already know that Jehovah (the name) came from Babylon the Great?

  i'll start by stating the obvious... according to the watchtower, the catholic church is a huge part of babylon the great which is led by satan and his demons.

  raymundus martini, a catholic monk (who "represents" babylon the great to some extent), woke up one day in the 13th century and decided to alter yhwh so it can be easily pronounced.

  hence the spanish-ish version of yhwh was created... jehova... (sounds something like this in spanish: heh-o-va).

  you have finally confirmed to me how ignorant you are as an elder body.. you should all be ashamed of yourselves as elders.. .

  What`s the reason some of you think JW`s are in decline ?

  from what i can see no such thing is happening.i became a jw in 1960 and remained for about 30 years and the numbers of active jw`s today in the world are far greater than they were back then.. and here in australia the numbers are much higher than they were back then .. so i don`t see that their in decline or have any worries about losing support .. don`t the numbers speak for themselves ?.

  is it just wishful thinking on your part ?.

  6000 years of human existence since the creation of humans was supposed to end in 1975 and it was expected that the 1000 years of JC reign would begin ,and of course nothing of the sort happened .

  The end of the 19th century was another expectation ,and again nothing happened.

  Over well over 100 years the religion of Jehovah`s Witnesses have made time frames for GOD`S kingdom to come to earth and it has all proved futile .

  when are the still in believers going to learn that the JW religion is a false religion.and what they speculate on will never happen just as nothing they speculated upon in the past never happened .

  i haven't a clue if it's technically feasible but i think if you're going to hit the dislike button on a post you should be open to discussion with the poster.. just your own topics and posts of course.

  How many new converts do you remember as a JW?

  inspired by the "whats the reason you think jw's are in decline" thread.

  my belief is that almost all the growth, at least in the western world is due to jw's having kids.

  i was a 4th generation jw from birth till about age 20, so the timeframe i can comment on would be my teen years.

  I was a convert in 1959/ 1960 ,and in 1961 my new wife, and i were baptised ,and then married at a KH.

  Brought our two sons up to be JW`s who both left at about the same time my wife and I did in the early 1990`s

  And we have all done nicely since then .

  Is 1914 still a major belief in JW land ? Or has it been abandoned ?
