The Immoral Clock
by Terry inthe immoral clock.
my great-grandmother owned a grandfather clock.
i asked it carefully.. "your mother told me that if she doesn't wind her clock twice a day it slows down, it starts to lie, becomes immoral, and stops.

The God of The Bible a Divisive God
by smiddy3 insurely god could have had a better plan for directing humans than what is outlined in the bible couldn`t he ?.
right from the start he picks favorites ,not giving cain or abel any clues or directions in how he wanted to be worshiped .. maybe its just me but i would have thought cain`s sacrifice would have been much better than abel`s simply because cains offering was from the" fruits from the ground" but abel`s offering was to sacrifice" some firstling`s of his flock" oh, and lets not forge" their fatty pieces".
cain offered up the product of the land ,being a cultivator of the land ,while abel was a herder of the sheep and slaughtered one of gods creations.

Obviously not many people wanted to chime in on this post fair enough ,thank you waton and truth b known for your input .
If Jehovah God truly wanted ALL people to be saved ,wouldn`t he have made sure his appeal would have been to people of all the nations and not just be dealing with one specific group ? And made it absolutely clear without any doubt that the CREATOR GOD was offering this means of salvation ? And not humans.

Are badness, disobedience, and rebellion part of the "perfect" human nature?
by psyco inwhen humankind will be perfect again after 1,000 years living in a paradise without being influenced by satan and demons, since "the number of these is as the sand of the sea" (revelation 20:8), a huge amount of "perfect" people, like adam and eve, will be bad, disobedient, and rebel being misled by satan once again.. does this mean that after living today surrounded by bad, disobedient, and rebel imperfect people, you will still live surrounded by bad, disobedient and rebel "perfect" people in a paradise?.
does this mean that badness, disobedience, and rebellion are part of the "perfect" human nature considering the big amount of people involved ("as the sand of the sea")?.
is it possible that we were originally created with such a strong desire and tendency to badness, disobedience, and rebellion as a result of a wise, loving, and perfect project?.

Gen.3:22 Jehovah God went on to say "Here the man has become like one of us " ? who was he talking to , Angels ?
Were the Angels created knowing good and bad ? WHY ? What is/was the point ?
Why was there a tree in the Garden of Eden put there to test Adam and Eve ? by God ?
What test did the Angels undergo to prove their loyalty to Jehovah God ?
And why did not only Satan but so many other Angels rebel against Jehovah God if they were created perfect ?

Have you ever thought about this statistic?
by psyco inforgetting for a moment the past, let us imagine that now we are about 8,000,000,000 people in the world and jws are about 8,000,000.8,000,000 / 8,000,000,000 = 0.1%.this means that satan can mislead 99.9% (100 - 0.1) of the people in the world.after 1,000 years, when humankind will be perfect again, since "the number of these is as the sand of the sea" (revelation 20:8), once again a huge amount of perfect people will get misled by satan.if the reason for this big number was because of the imperfection, that means adam and eve's fault, not so many "perfect" people should get misled by satan in the future paradise.so, could you think that 99.9% of the perfect angels are demons misled by satan?
if not, why is satan able or allowed to mislead so many more (imperfect and) perfect humans than angels?another question is: if god "does not desire anyone to be destroyed" (2 peter 3:9), why does he allow satan to be able to mislead 99.9% of people since he knows in advance that "many, i tell you, will seek to get in but will not be able" (luke 13:24), and "the number of these is as the sand of the sea" (revelation 20:8), and "go in through the narrow gate, because broad is the gate and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are going in through it; whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are finding it" (matthew 7:13, 14)?
should not it be the other way around as a logical statistic?

1 Tim 2:3-4 says: "3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth."
So why the bloody hell doesn`t he reveal himself to ALL mankind ?
And not just some specialized group that no one can verify ?
It`s not rocket science is it ?
With all of the technology that`s around today ,surely it`s not too hard for the creator to figure it out is it ?
Geeeez , my mind boggles.

JWs don’t use the apocryphal, yet source them
by Anony Mous inso a quick little note about a few things that i recently learned.
if you ever had the yellow book of bible stories, there was the story of enoch, also repeated in other watchtower publications, about the angels fathering giants and being a menace on earth.
now if you look at the nicean bible, which is the wtbts selection of the bible, it mentions enoch twice and only has a very brief passage about nephilim and ben elohim.

Good post , I often wondered why the books that were mentioned in the Bible were not included in the Bible canon,?
Such as the book of Enoch , Jubilees , Jasper , Jasher , Maccabee 1& 2 ,The testament of Noah .?
Any that I have missed ?
If the Bible was the word of God and these books were referenced in the Bible ,in my mind there is no reason to exclude them.
I do remember reading somewhere in WT literature that they recommended reading Maccabees to get a good feel of jewish history.
Dead Sea Scrolls indicates those books were very much in circulation amongst Christians ca 100BC and have to date existed amongst Ethiopian Churches (one of the earliest churches still in existence)
That`s the other thing that surprised me ,the WTB&TS could have differed itself from Christendom by including some or all of these books to be more in-line with first Century Christians. ?

Ukraine and Armageddon
by jhine ini'm going to take a wild stab in the dark here and guess that the watchtower is having a wonderful time over the whole ukraine situation.
is the whole " end of times " thing being pushed again to bring dissidents back into line .
they must be seeing as a gift from above .
