JW's are NOT connected to the WTBTS....
by BoogerMan in.....just as gerrit losch of the g.b.
claimed he has nothing to do with it - or vice versa.. i suppose that's why him & his jw g.b.
cronies assume total control of the wtbts annual meeting every year - because they're totally separate from each other!

Parting Letter
by Konagirl ina friend of mine was compelled to reach out to as many members as possible in her congregation, by sending them the following letter that i would like to share.. to my brothers and sisters,.
i’m sure you’ve realised by now that something isn’t quite right with me as i haven’t been around in months.
the truth is i have been going through a crisis and the last few months have been the hardest time of my life.

An excellent read ,using the scriptures and those who believe the bible to be true.
Every Jehovah`s Witness should have a copy of this letter.
If possible.
Thanks for sharing this Konagirl

I must remember this the next time I get a chance to talk to the JW`s Luke 16:19 - 31.
I like that.
Good point.
If I`ve got this right ?
1st Q.
Do you or your religion believe when you die ,you still exist in the hereafter ? Without or before any such resurrection ?
Answer : No
Then why did Jesus not refute that in Luke 16 : 19-33?
He seems to agree with it ? yes ?

While I don`t believe the Bible about GOD or other religions about a GOD ,I do wonder ?
by smiddy3 ini do wonder about the universe as we know it .
it does boggle my mind ,and how such a variety of life does exist on this planet ,from the microscopic to the most advanced life forms.. in such an abundance .?.
and then looking out there in the universe the multitudes of stars like our sun and planets exist that we have no knowledge of boggles my mind .. so ,maybe i am spiritual in some sense..

mentally ill/delusional or con artist?
by enoughisenough inmaybe this has been discussed in the past and i wasn't here... what do you think?
are the gb members knowingly pulling a con, or do they have delusions of grandeur?
i will go out on a limb here to say that i think they are con artist.

I think there is an art to lying to oneself and the GB have mastered it.
They believe what they are saying is true because they want to believe it.
Not because it is a fact ,which it isn`t.

OPINIONS PLEASE: I propose a new strategy against the Watchtower policy of DISFELLOWSHIP
by Terry ini need your opinion and a discussion...tell me what you think, both pros and cons...the governments of norway and russia have both targeted watchtower's severely inhumane policy of disfellowship separating and isolating members by ostracizing them and labeling them as 'mentally diseased", etc.
dis fellowship.is a mushy concept unfamiliar to non-jw's.that word doesn't convey brutal, cold, and uncaring shunning and the impact on vulnerable persons cut off from family and friends.i propose swapping the phrase "religious apartheid" for the term "disfellowship" because it is significantly more impactful, familiar, and gut-wrenching.jw's teach practice and promote discrimination, opprobrium, and animus in punishing by isolation those who disagree with their doctrines.
moreover - it is a de facto death sentence both spiritually and (according to the expectation of armageddon) literally as well.

Why not be more blunt ,religious hatred of former members or spiritual hatred of former members ,because that`s what it boils down to isn`t it ?

My experience as a JW for 37 years. I dogded the bullet that many of you experienced .
by smiddy3 inhi friend`s ,i just had to share my experience ,and surely there must be others on this board who had similar experiences that i had.. i was a jw for 37 years ,been out for about 20 years or so .however we as a family never had the problems that so many of you seem to have had .. none of our, my wife and i , immediate families have ever been jw`s.. i converted when i was about 20 years old in about 1960 and as i say remained in converted my wife and brought up two sons in the "truth" for about 37 years .. my 1st and 2nd congregations i attended in melbourne aust.
were very conservative and not very wholesome looking back.. however moving interstate to s.e.queensland in redcliffe was a whole new experience.. it was far more liberal and relaxed.. i befriend a couple of elders and ms `s who enjoyed an ale or two which was right up my alley.. and we went on camping expeditions on both fraser and moreton islands ,both just off the coast of brisbane.. i was a ms for many years there never pioneered or served where the need was great and always had steady employment in the world which probably kept my head above the clouds so to speak.. none of my family ,wife two boys and their wives are jw`s ,we have all left many years ago.. anybody else had negative effects of being a witness for many years ?.

Thanks for sharing Smiddy. Can I ask what drew you in at 20 years of age?
Sure listener,
I left school at 14 years of age and went to work ,in a factory of leather workers who took me on as an apprenticeship.
In my work i met up with a fellow, a little older than i who seemed a little bit different than anyone else i had met.
He rode his bicycle to work each day and this bike ,I kid you not, looked like it had just come out of the showrooms , after many years.
He was of Spanish decent ,and after being inactive after may years was trying to get back in the "truth"
And I was the victim.

Hi friend`s ,I just had to share my experience ,and surely there must be others on this board who had similar experiences that I had.
I was a JW for 37 years ,been out for about 20 years or so .However we as a family never had the problems that so many of you seem to have had .
None of our, my wife and I , immediate families have ever been JW`s.
I converted when I was about 20 years old in about 1960 and as i say remained in converted my wife and brought up two sons in the "truth" for about 37 years .
My 1st and 2nd congregations I attended in Melbourne Aust. were very conservative and not very wholesome looking back.
However moving interstate to S.E.Queensland in Redcliffe was a whole new experience.
It was far more liberal and relaxed.
I befriend a couple of Elders and MS `s who enjoyed an ALE or two which was right up my alley.
And we went on camping expeditions on both Fraser and Moreton Islands ,both just off the coast of Brisbane.
I was a MS for many years there never pioneered or served where the need was great and always had steady employment in the world which probably kept my head above the clouds so to speak.
None of my family ,wife two boys and their wives are JW`s ,we have all left many years ago.
Anybody else had negative effects of being a witness for many years ?
