  they have registered their business at companies house under business code 41100 - development of building projects.. opening their latest full accounts filing it says on page 4 under principle funding sources:.

  ”the society currently has two funding sources, one of them being the construction of new facilities or places of worship, which is invoiced at cost to other charities with similar aims”.

  Didn`t the Jehovah`s Witnesses in Mexico identify themselves as a Cultural organization and not a religious organization back in the day ?

  When the Catholic Church was the only recognized religion that could own land and property .?

  “Joshua” and “Jesus” are the same Greek and Hebrew/Aramaic name: is this not confusing?

  god’s name disappeared in the christian greek scriptures and its pronunciation got lost in the hebrew-aramaic ones.

  the current vowels of the hebrew pronunciation of god’s name are taken from the “adonay” (“lord”) hebrew word which were the vowels chosen by who did not want to pronounce his name.

  whereas the current latin pronunciation of god’s name (“jehovah”) was introduced by raymundus martini, a spanish monk of the dominican order, in his book published in 1270 c.e.

  But aren`t the 4 letters representing Jehovah / Yahweh God , taken from the tetragrammaton ? JHVH / YHWH .

  And the vowels taken from Adonay added to those letters to make up Jehovah / Yahweh ?

  Whereas Jesus is a shortened version of Jehoshua ?

  And didn`t the GB/ JW admit in the book Aid To Bible Understanding first edition that the more correct pronunciation of Gods name probably is Yahweh ? or words to that effect and used the excuse why they chose to go with the name Jehovah was because it was the most popular name in use of the day.

  And doesn`t that statement contradict their claim that Christendom try`s to hide God`s name from their members ? Many churches throughout the world have the name Jehovah engraved in stone on there buildings.

  Many Churches throughout Christendom use the name either Jehovah or Yahweh in hymns and Bibles that they use including the Catholic Church which has used both names.

  I Don't think the jw kids today are afraid of the Elders or the Governing Body, like the jw kids of pre-internet era.

  something i've notice with born in jw kids posting on reddit, is that they have no problem telling off the elders.

  this generation of born in jw kids just have no fear of who the elders represent because they know from researching on the internet, that jehovah is a created character by ancient people, and no different or real, than thanos.. these kids know exactly what's going on with the child sexual abuse in the organization.

  they also have read and memorized the elder's book online.

  I think the G.B. have done the R&F JW`s especially the younger ones a great service in having Stephen Lett do the videos.They, unlike older ones,haven`t invested a lifetime and money in slaving for men instead of worshiping a god of the bible.

  Many of the oldies can`t bring themselves to admit they have been conned their whole life and their pride won`t allow them to admit that.They have eyes but they cannot see,they have ears but they cannot hear and they have a brain that they refuse to use ,they are quite content to let let the GB men do their thinking for them.

  Yet it is so easy to research the TTATT about Jehovah`s Witnesses using the internet now.But will they do it ? NO

  And that is very sad.

  my favorites include the (english) revised version bible (of 1881-1885) and its apocrypha (of 1898), the american revised version bible (of 1898, it close to the american standard version), the american standard version bible (of 1901), the new american standard bible - updated edition, the new revised standard version bible with the apocrypha, the complete bible: an american translation (it includes the apocrypha), and the twentieth century new testament.

  i also use others beside those.. they are my favorites because i consider them to be highly accurate, and also they are either very literal (but not so literal as to be hard to understand) or they use functional equivalence.

  Sorry D.JW ,I haven`t actually read any versions of the Atheists Bible I only meant to say that if I could bring myself to read any "Bible" it probably would be one of those versions.

  maybe I should read up on the many versions of the Atheists Bible,that would be the only bible that would interest me now.

  Though I still do have a copy of the NWT of the Bible 1984 that I sometimes use to refute a JW belief or two.

  20 Years Occupying Afghanistan, Nothing Achieved

  so the occupation of afghanistan is coming to an end and, as predicted, they achieved absolutely nothing in that 20 years apart from:.

  the death of 2,300+ service personnel and tens of thousands more seriously maimed or injured.. handing $billions or even $trillions of taxpayer dollars to defence contractors (so the military industrial complex wins, even if the military doesn't have a clear victory).. has this lengthy but short-term military occupation really changed anything in the country?

  it doesn't appear so.. i said at the time that the us wouldn't have the staying power to enact real change.

  The same can be said for the USA`s coalition partners such as Australia who lost many lives and many more who suffered injuries both physical and mental.

  All for nothing.Now the poor Afghans who supported America and her allies ,have their heads on the chopping block.

  Are You Enjoying living in Jesus Christ`s Paradise after 40 years of his reign ?

  it has been 40 years since 1975 when 6000 years of human creation took place according to wt theology,when jesus christ was supposedly to begin his 1000 year reign in which earth was supposed to be turned back to an eden like paradise.. 1975 was the second attempt of the wt to predict when 6000 years of human creation took place,the first time it was supposed to have occurred was in 1872 .. so by that reckoning we should be living 40 years into jesus christ`s 1000 reign .. on the other hand wt theology states that jesus returned in 1914 to do what ?

  sit at his fathers right hand until 1975 ?.

  of course this all hinges on jehovah`s witnesses / watchtower belief that a creative day was 7000 years long that they taught for decades .. do they still cling to this belief ?

  Well if Jesus Christ is with us since 1914 like the WT / JW says and he started his 1,000 year rule, like the organization said was probable in 1975, after 6000 years of human history as the WT/JW claimed ,then what is the only conclusion you can come up with ? ? ?

  i keep hearing that the watchtower org is going to be around forever because of the many other religions that have been around a long time.

  but i disagree because the wt is not like other religious cults.. the watchtower's breath of life is dependent on the last days that started in 1914. .

  you can’t change 1914 without a death blow to the entire organization.. the watchtower's 2nd reason for staying alive, is it's continual urging that the life saving preaching work of warning people is the most important work ever.. but- it's very obvious to many, even the old ones that instead of speeding up the work------the work is slowing down to a drip.. comment by former believer; .

  If you could pick out critical errors to the JWS religion what would it be ?

  many that have come to this forum have left the jws religion and moved on with their lives but from a outsider's viewpoint what do think makes the jws religion wrong or incorrect as a active christian faith ?.

  somethings come to mind such as its long continuous end times/armageddon soon doctrine which has really been a core doctrine for decades going right back to its beginning .. maybe they should have adopted the stance as other christian based faiths and adhered to jesus's own words when he said " no one knows of the time not even he ".
