They Are Going To Start Clamping Down With Staying At Home - Local Needs + GB Update #4

many of us have watched the gb #4 update.

most of us jumped for joy when they basically said that there will be no meeting in person for a long time to come.. one aspect we overlooked was how hard they hit home the "love of neighbor".

how this "love" is what makes a true christian and as a result our love for our neighbors will motivate us to stay at home.. well now they released a letter that is instructing all kh's to view this video during their local needs part.

I agree with those who think its a push to legitimize there selling off more Kingdom halls especially here in Australia where hopefully more victims of child sexual abuse come forward ,now that the Jehovah`s Witness religion has been publicly named and shamed for not joining up to the Redress Scheme.

How Could We Have Been So Heartless?

i am addressing here those who, like me, spent decades in the organisation that we called “the truth”.

perhaps like me you were brought up in it from an early age.

looking back now i wonder that i could have been so heartless as to believe that the mass slaughter of billions of people was “good news”.

Welcome kingpelican ,however I can`t use the excuse I was raised in the cult , I converted when I was 20 years old

and stayed in for 32 years before the scales fell from my eyes and I took of those rose coloured glasses.

    spotted this article this morning.

i will try to post a link.. jtg.. australia.. institutions refusing to join the national redress scheme are "doubling down" on the crime of child sexual abuse, prime minister scott morrison says.. mr morrison and social services minister anne ruston have warned institutions they may lose funding and tax concessions if they fail to sign up by tuesday's deadline and will be named and shamed.. "all institutions are doing in not joining is doubling down on the crime and doubling down on the hurt," they said in a letter to 25 institutions.. "we consider it to be reprehensible that you have failed to sign up to the scheme.".

the jehovah's witnesses is among the organisations that has refused to sign up, arguing it does not have the institutional settings of other faith-based institutions that the redress scheme is designed to cover.. senator ruston is set to name the non-participating institutions on wednesday, when she will announce what action the federal government will take against them.. "we urge you to join the scheme not because of concerns about being identified, but because it is the right thing to do," the minister and mr morrison said.. "it is the right thing to do by survivors and their families and it is what every, decent, honest, australian demands.".

The Jehovah's Witnesses has refused to sign up, saying it does not have the institutional settings of other faith-based institutions that the redress scheme is designed to cover.

It`s not just faith- based institutions that the redress scheme is designed to cover .?

It also covers non religious institutions such as sporting groups, Boy Scouts ,Girl Guides etc, etc.

I hope the Govt`s see through their Theocratic Warfare strategy to try and hoodwink the government.

Surely that`s a good question cofty ,and one that I can`t explain to any satisfaction .Australia has 6 States and 2 Territories all with differing laws that apparently confuses the issue .

My brief perusal of each of the States and territories legislation gave me the impression at least some states it was required of ministers of Religion to do so.

However maybe JW`s fell back on the claim they do not have a clergy class ,honestly I do not know.

At the ARC Geoffrey Jackson the Aussie G.B. member said it would make their life easier if it was mandatory for them to report such instances ,.putting the onus back on the Government as if it was their fault it wasn`t done .

Jehovah’s Witnesses have not sponsored any programs or activities that separate children from their parents at any time. Jehovah’s Witnesses do not operate boarding schools or Sunday schools; they do not have youth groups, choirs or sponsor any programs for children; neither do they run orphanages, day-care centres, hospitals nor youth centres.

Nor do they do any other charitable works that help those in the community that need help and as has been shown by the Australian Royal Commission they certainly do not help abused children sexually or otherwise of their own faith ,and have complete disregard for the welfare of children of the public in there door to door witnessing that may put them in danger of such abuse by a Jehovah`s witness perpretrator who calls on them.

Their shunning policy ,and protecting the name "Jehovah" from reproach along with their failure to notify the police or any Child protection Agency in any of these crimes against children by at least 3018 + Elders is nothing short of criminal .

Their charitable status should be revoked and they should definitely not get any Government money funded support at all.
