  Zoom meetings to continue thru July

  co is coming and expecting to zoom it in july.

  also there is no talk about starting to slowly go back to the hall.

  like having 1 group at the hall and the rest on zoom, etc.

  Are All Of The Bethels Worldwide In Shutdown (Covid 19) ? Still Operating ?

  how about all of the printing activities including wt and awake magazines ,tracts and brochures etc.?.

  are they all still a going concern ?.

  how many people would there be on average at any one bethel home ?.

  I have just looked at the John Hopkins map of Wallkill New York,Ulster N.Y.and there is 1252 confirmed cases and 30 deaths.

  And when you look at the whole of New york City it shows their are 18069 deaths.with a lot more confirmed cases.

  I was thinking that the JW religion having its HQ in NY for so many years you would think there would be a lot of Jehovah`s Witnesses living their ?

  The odds are that many of them would be struck down by the virus ?

  Not that we will ever know I suppose.

  The G.B./J.W./WTB&TS / F&DS, religion over the years have given a specific time-line of events that would occur when the Great Tribulation breaks out .

  With this pandemic upon us I find it weird that the rank&file JW cherry picks for themselves out of those events and come to the conclusion that this is the start of the GT ?

  Correct me if I am wrong (and I know you will ) Wasn`t the eighth king ,the United Nations going to attack all religions and wipe them out ,only to find that the religion of Jehovah`s Witnesses was still active and so they turned on them ,then Jehovah stepped in and brought about the GT.? and later to be followed by Armageddon ?

  And the G.B./ WTB&TS / F&DS class say nothing to quell these statements by the rank and file members .

  Isnt it in their interests to do so ?

  Which only adds to the non JW community when this is all done and dusted that Jehovah`s witnesses are just a bunch of nut cases always spouting about the end of the world and such and nothing ever happens .?

  HOW DOES THAT HELP THEIR CAUSE ?

  not a lot to say, except that i studied with jw's then gave up when i realised it wasn't the truth as they call it.. the ordinary jw's are generally nice people, but their elders are mostly little dictators from what i saw.

  Well at least you dodged the bullet that most of us on here got hit with.Many if not all of us here who converted at some stage now wonder ,who the hell was that person that joined this cult and we look back in embarrassment that we ever did so.how could we have been so gullible ?

  Born ins of course had no choice but to be brought up by their parents and have to work it out for themselves as they get older .

  My two sons were born ins and thankfully they have seen the light and are no longer JW`s.Phew.

  Now, if I may ask when you were studying with them ,what made you realise it wasn`t the "truth"

  And also ,why were you studying with them in the first place ?

  i`m just curious and like to know people` s experiences . ( not to be confused with WT experiences )

  Another question if I may ,how old were you when you were studying with them ?

  Wearing Masks/ China&Other Asian countries

  i've been reading that in asian countries if you go outside without a mask on, your looked at oddly and with disapproval.

  it seems they have been wearing masks for years.

  yet uk/us/canada/ and other countries do not.

  Aren`t masks supposed to be worn only once and then discarded ? Otherwise you can create more health problems if they are over used ?

  I`m not up to date on masks or what different types are available or what different advantages one type has over another type ,then of course comes the cost factor if people are out of work because of this virus ,how do they cope with this adde cost ? though I have no idea what they cost in the first place.

  I wouldn`t be against mandatory wearing a mask if its going to keep me and the missus and everybody else in the community safe ? while this pandemic is around .it just seems like its the sensible thing to do if it protects us all .

  Thanks gorby ,I wonder if they would continue to announce these figures at future meetings ?

  Personally I don`t think so, as it would not be in their interest to do so ,now would it.

  It would be very discouraging and potentially damaging to one`s faith in God`s protection of the faithful.

  why is does jehovah not like certain things?

  like why is homosexuality wrong?

  Even Jehovah had an amiable relationship with Satan because he could come and go as he pleased around Gods throne who would ask him what he`s been up to.? And satan would reply. Job.Ch.1

  And according to Jehovah`s Witnesses they continued such a relationship for thousands of years B4 he was cast out of heaven in 1914.

  Neither Jehovah or Jesus ever shunned Satan.

  Coronavirus Positive

  hey all,.

  i'm day six of isolation, confirmed to have coronavirus.

  i have been seeing very sick cv positive patients over the last month in my a&e role (emergency physician) it was inevitable i would contract it.. just wanted to give some symptom and treatment advice, it's anecdotal but may help.. started as sore throat and headache, then croaky voice, then dry cough, then episodic transient fevers, all this over the first few days.

  One other thing I recall now after reading all these experiences was the board at the front of the hall with all the stats on how your congregation was doing compared to the national average.

  Example : how many hours ,bible studies ,back calls,mag.placements,etc,etc.

  The idea I suppose was to encourage you to do better than the average.
