Didn`t they put feelers out for Accountants and lawyers a few years ago ? To achieve those goals they would have had to pursue higher education ,something they frown upon for the rank & file members.

July 2020 Watchtower - A little observation
by Listener inthis is a comment made in the latest study watchtower under the main discussion of humility.
11 jehovah values humility more than ability and unity more than efficiency.
therefore, do your best to serve jehovah with humility.

I think that goat was a sheep in goats clothing because he/she evidently understood it because she/he was so attentive to the explanation .
Now what Jesus said about the sheep and the goats takes on a new meaning .

Kids Without Rules
by minimus ini see a lot of kids that rarely get discipline.
they are allowed to do whatever they want and if someone says something to them they don’t want to hear, they blow them off, ignore them or engage in disrespectful talk.. what’s wrong with today’s parents??
they are producing a generation of entitled brats!.

Actually I did call the cops on my son many years ago .At the time he was living with us ,we had a seperate living area for him .He was going through a very tough time after his JW wife cheated on him with one of his JW "friends" some time before.
And he had gone off the rails a bit ,almost to the point of being habitually drunk ,and it was because he was well under the influence & decided he needed to get more booze ,I told him not to get in his ute to do so and he ignored me and drove off.
It broke my heart to do so but I called the cops because he could have killed himself or someone else in that condition
I had tears pouring out of my eye`s as I did so.Actually tears have appeared now as I type this yet it happened many, many years ago now.
His life has completely turned around for the better , non drinker married with two beautiful boys about 11 and 9 now & none of them have anything to do with religion.
Sorry to go off topic.mm

The Myth About Jehovah as a "GOD of LOVE".
by smiddy3 ini`ll list a few things and welcome any input, comments you may have .. 1.when adam & eve "sinned" disobeyed him, surely god could have handled it better than to condemn all future generations to disease and death ?.
2.his handling of satan who supposedly seduced eve to disobey god could also have been done a lot differently with a finality to it.. 3.i find little if anything in his dealings with the patriarchs that suggests a loving god protecting them.?.
4.taking on the nation of israel and leading them as his chosen people does not inspire confidence or trust as a god of love.. 5.throughout the hebrew scriptures / old testament his chosen people were constantly at war with other nations which of course would have meant many deaths of the israelite`s during these battles .and the grief that comes with family members in those times.

I would also like to hear from anybody that believes in God and that the Bible is the word of God .?
The Old Testament God isn`t referred to as the God of war for nothing,
How do you reconcile the Old Testament God with the New Testament God ?

6.The sickness and disease`s that existed while Jehovah God was sole ruler over his chosen people and also when he allowed Kings to rule over them .Most notably would be when the nation of Israel had a Leprosy Colony among them that apparently still existed up until Jesus time on earth.
I look forward to your comments and anything else that you feel could be added to my list.Or if you feel I have been unjust in my criticism of Jehovah God and his dealings with humankind .

The trouble today is, with Kids Without Rules is largely because kids are having kids, IMHO .

Unpredictable Certainty
by joey jojo inwith this pandemic upon us now in full bloom, its not surprising that religions are trying to entice their flocks back, with ' we told you so' rhetoric.
the truth is, these events happen every so often and we should expect them.. another term for this unpredictable certainty is a black swan event, that is, a rare event, that has wide ranging, often devastating effects.
we know bad things will happen, sometimes very bad things but we just don't know what, how or when.

Not exactly N-G ,the millions of gullible witnesses around the world have a variety of reasons for getting anybody back into the religion.
Their gullibility lies in the fact they don`t realize that the GB of JW`s is only interested in that the more people "in" the religion the more money is contributed .

Coronavirus outbreaks at any Bethels?
by careful indoes anyone know of any covid-19 diagnoses within any bethels/branches/remote translation centers?.
it would be interesting to see what the gb's policy is when this happens.
i suppose it's bound to happen sooner or later..

Just like he protected his chosen people the Israelite`s / Jews from the time he became their GOD from the scourge of Leprosy ?
Numb.12:10 ,Le.13:2 , Deu. 24:8 , 2KI.5:3 ,27 ,Lu.5:12.
So going by past experience Jehovah won`t be protecting anyone at any of the Bethel`s and in the case of Miriam it was god who gave her Leprosy .
And I laugh at those who say God Jehovah is protecting the GB and others by moving out of New York ?
Jesus Christ he only moved them less than 55 miles away ? Not to somewhere like Australia which has a pittance of infections compared to America .
