Gene Hackman
Helen Mirren
Jane Fonda
Jack Nicholson
I`m thinking about the different roles they played in films and how well they adapted to them.

Believers: How do you know your view of your chosen holy book is the correct one?
by punkofnice indon't start fighting, darlings.
i am genuinely curious.
after all i was a jobo 50 years and thought the wbt$ was 100% correct.. i ask this because i see that, for example, christian denominations (or whatever), likely have differing interpretations of the same writing.

People cherry pick what they want to believe out of any religious book they want to believe in.In the many Christian religions in the world today a few have a different number of books that they consider as the word of God.
And their are many many more books of Scripture that didn`t quite make it as a part of the Bible canon and not rejected by God ,but rejected by humans who didn`t believe they should be considered as part of Gods inspired word .
God didn`t have a say in it .
Jehovah`s Witnesses adopted the same Bible books as the Protestants why is that ?Because they are a protestant religion against the Roman Catholic Church. Just look at any of their publications throughout their short history of about 140 years ,contrast that with the Catholic religion of over 2000 years.
Catholic religion, by the way had a big if not a great say or even the ultimate say, as to what Bible books were inspired by God or not and is really not disputed by anyone today including the Jehovah`s Witnesses .

Marital sex
by Tedeily inmy wife and i have always shared naked photos respectfully over the years.
being the only thing to fill that void in our relationship due to being apart.
recently my wife has become jehovah, and we’re not sure if my wife is allowed to respectfully share herself with me while i am away.

Take your wife to see a therapist before your marriage falls apart because of her being indoctrinated by JW`s. beliefs.

How do you feel about the JWS religion after being out more than 10, 20, 30 years ?
by Finkelstein inmyself being a born in and completely out for more than 30 years i see more of the damage of what this religious cult causes people .. part of myself leaving had to do with the psychological harm it was causing people back in the 1970's, one guy my age at the time hung himself out anxiety and depression.. the numerous suicides that have occurred in numbers is shocking to say the least.. then there is the many families breaking up.. marriages breaking apart because one member decides to leave the jws.. the deaths of members or their children from refusing a blood transfusion.. this hit me personally when my mother refused a bt when she was ill in the hospital and died.. over the years and observing all of these things reminds me how glad and fortunate i left when i did but i do find it responsible to others to expose this religious cult to what can happen to people who get involved with it and that's what i've been doing on this forum and elsewhere.

unfortunately, I blazed the trail for my younger siblings in jw-ism. My brothers aften mention to me that if it hadn't been for my "great example" that they probably wouldn't be jws today! wow!
Wouldn`t that be the time to set the record straight and be up front why you are in a fade and help them cut the ties with what you recognise as a bad religion to belong to ?
Isn`t that something to regret ? Had you taken a different course and been honest with yourself and them ,as they said , they wouldn`t be Jw`s today ?
Wouldn`t you have wanted that ?
I find that sad .
Am I missing something here ?

As if the Governing body members don`t have those sort of sins , I LMAO .
As well as these types of crimes.
While they are guilty of being accesararys to crimes committed by members of their religion and withholding such information from law enforcement and child protection authorities .
See the letter about withholding information about a known murderer in the congregation
Sorry ,i can`t help you with your request i just couldn`t hold back on saying something

Ex JW of 30 years , still messed up from it
by Doubledecker inhi , this is my first post .. i left jws 30 years ago as 18 year old unbaptised youth and after the initial fallout from leaving pretty much put the whole thing in a box and buried it .. however , i am now starting to realise how much the doomsday messages and the ‘them and us’ doctrines that’s fed to you from birth has remained in my core beliefs.. how have others managed to reprogram themselves ?.
thanks for reading , have a good day .

Since you ‘buried’ the religion (which it deserves to be really)..you never actually dealt with it or analyzed it. Leaving the religion is one thing..but you have to analyze why it was wrong.
What LongHairGal said here is so true .My take on it is this ,some people leave the religion but the religion never leaves them .
To many Jehovahs Witnesses its a "feel good" religion and they have never really analysed why it cant be anywhere near what you would call "truth"
And I`m sad to say the WT religion conditions people to be interlectually / spiritually lazy as to what they believe .
If WT or the GB says its so, it must be so, and they do not investigate it any further .
They let the religion do their thinking for them.
As LongHairGal said you have to analyze why it is wrong ,otherwise you will remain on a treadmill never knowing whether to believe the WT or not believe the WT.
You need to research it for yourself without WT influence .
