  Growing up in the Watchtower has left me with an Aversion to Whispering!

  i can't stand it!.

  if somebody starts whispering in my presence i have to walk away quickly.

  it's a visceral reaction i can't control.

  Do you detect an underlying sadness ?

  whenever i talk to jw's, and even in some of the jw official videos, i detect a definite vibe of sadness coming off these people.. i am very sensitive to "atmospheres" and to peoples emotional state, you wouldn't think so, because more often than not i do not react to what i detect, i just let people get on with it.. but i do get this feeling that they are sad, probably because very, very, very deep down they realise that it is all false, maybe ?.

  I saw this sadness firsthand this morning. I was in Newcastle city centre working (I know, on a Sunday!) and a 1 day assembly was on at City Hall. As usual, and I remember doing this with my family, all the J-dubs wandered down to the Maccy d'd to get brekky. All of them, and I mean ALL of them had this hang dog expression on their faces. Non looked happy to have given up a Sunday for more brainwashing. It was as if they knew they were being watched?

  It was eerie looking in from the outside.

  page 6, "the need to search for the truth".

  says this....and i couldn't agree with it more!

  My Walmart encounter with the dubs today

  yup, there were 3 of them camped out in front of the store with their display of materials - first time i've seen them there.

  he said he converted 5 years ago from the presbyterians, and that he had learned more in 1 year with the jws than all his time with the presbyterians (the usual stuff, jesus died on a stake, paradise earth, etc).

  he claimed he didn't know about the invisible return of jesus, he was dismissive of the impact of disfellowshipping and that people can leave with little consequence, he claimed that the romans didn't use a cross until 200 years after jesus died on the stake.

  July 15 Watchtower - Contradiction on Page 22 paragraph 10

  Thats all folks! No scriptures. Just a statement. Believe y'all and be saved!

  WT 81 makes the statement: "There is no point in trying to force an interpretation of the parable. Self-deception is of no benefit and is spiritually damaging."

  Does this mean that this teaching is still damaging? Or that its ok for the GB to decieve us but not ourselves? "We just love this new teaching!" What they really mean is: "Er, actually, a bit of time has passed, so people will forget who actually came up with this new thought and were thrown out with the garbage! Lets nick this idea!"

  if you still go to the meetings, i'd love to hear how tomorrow's wts goes down.. i'm sure there will be plenty of comments read straight from the paragraph, a few pauses where nobody wants to comment for fear of not getting it right, and a few completely wrong comments from publishers talking out of their a$$e$ trying to look smart.

  This morning I've been texting my Dad to go to the meeting and get a tape of this WT. Hope he does. My Dad is starting to see the racket for what it is. He only goes to the Wednesday meeting now to keep people off his back. My Mum is still very much in and thinks I am still "saveworthy".

  I think some of the answer-uppers will be worth analysing as to what they make of this. Paragraph 10 comes out with THE statement as to who the FandDS is, with no supporting scriptures at all. Maybe the kids will answer that paragraph!

  July 2013 WT Sunday ? Who is now the FDS ?

  continue on wt july 2013...a question to all...so, the congregation gets fed spiritual food by the fds (past & now), right?

  the great tribulation and beyond.. but the article says, the fds will not come until after the un will attack christendom, jehovah will cut short the attack on false religion; god's people will be saved, then...jesus will judge people of all nations as sheep or goats, then.....jesus will appoint the faithful slave over "all his belongings ....so, have the fds been appointed as of yet & if not who has been given the congregation the spiritual food upto now...i'm confused...no i'm not..i do understand...i think a bunch of guys been feeding us.... i spoke to one of the sisters & she said, that jesus will appoint the slaves & give them additional duties...uh ?

  the floor is open...will welcome all thoughts..... legacy.

  the crooks have come up with a scanner that reads your keychain remote locking code.

  when you walk away from your car and lock the doors theives sitting nearby capture the code and can then unlock your car while you are shopping.. lock your car the old fashioned way, with the lock button before closing the door..

  .....there was a puddle of it next to where the car was parked. Sheffield police said that this is now a favourite method of car theft. Apparently developed by car breakers with a lot of time on their hands. If doesnt matter how sophisticated people make a lock, there are cleverer people who can get past it. Just needs time and imagination.

  ....meanwhile, a friend of mine had an 07 BMW 535d that was paid for, thieves sprayed wd40 into the only key hole on the drivers door, emptied the whole can in. The cars alarm thought it was submersed in water, and all the doors opened and alarms switched off. They dragged the car onto a low loader. Probably somewhere in the EU by now....

  My Journey to the Dark Side is Complete

  i started fading probably 8 years ago.

  completely inactive for 5 years now.

  fortunately my entire family including the dw also has faded.. one thing that has been hard to erase however is praying before meals.
