Blondie - your re-write of the article shows how crazy they are, however that letter in the link is totally scandalous! They were more interested in the chance of him smoking and wanted to brush under the carpet a member of their congregation may have been a serial murderer!!! That is the first time I have ever seen that letter. JWorg is a haven for Pedos and Murderers

a witness couple just called on me.

they know i have'nt been to the hall for a few months but have no idea that i am "off reservation" in more ways than one.. they called by to tell me they that due to the "unloving spirit" in our.

congregation they will be going to another hall from now on.. the husband has been having ongoing "issues" with the cobe for some time ( iow,he hates his guts).. they feel that if they move to another cong where the people are nicer everything will be ok. (yeah, right).

You could have sown some seeds, the new cong will love bomb them for a while and then maybe the cracks will appear to them again. Keep in touch if you think they may need some help in seeing it for what it truly is

hi to everyone, my name is jerry, i am 56 and i live in tralee, kerry ireland.

i will not bore you with the all too familiar details, suffice it to say i was a prime candidate for indoctrination/ brainwashing.

the surprising aspect is that my wife, a staunch catholic started a study soon after i did.

Welcome, sorry to hear about your family situation, I hope it gets better in time. It is amazing how everything becomes logical and makes sense when you leave, it is so hard to explain it to someone whose whole life revolves around it.

i'm new around here, but i've been browsing the site the last few days in hopes of finding the answer to the situation i've been going through, so hopefully you can help me.

i met this girl in highschool, but never really spoke with her until about a year after i graduated.

she's three years younger (however it's legal where i'm from, don't fret) and still a teenager.

Pedophile Elder in jail gets reinstated

there was a brother in my congregation who was an elder.

he got disfellowshipped about two years ago for looking at child porn and also trying to meet up with a thirteen year old boy online.

he was also arrested soon after this.

I am assuming he will be on some sort of sex offenders register. Ask the elders if they have checked this.

Ask the elders how he can prove his repentance as he is unlikely to have had access to porn or children whilst in prison and therefore his 'works' whilst incarcerated cannot be taken into account. I suspect there will be a 'confidentiality clause' to the answer.

Ask the elders how they are going to be 'protecting' the young ones at the hall before during and after meetings, how will they be protecting them at social gatherings, how will they be protecting children that he will see whilst out on the door to door work.

Ask how many in your hall would like him as a neighbour in the 1,000 year rule before he is made perfect, if the idea makes your skin crawl how would it make a supposedly Loving Father feel, if the holy spirit was truly with the judicial committee then they must have gone against it. (I do not beleive there is a Loving Father or holy spirit)

He may not want a tattoo and is using it as an excuse, have they spoken about where their relationship is going, what are their plans? It could be the cognitive dissonance kicking in, he might have been able to justify holding hands and kissing and thinks he can hide it, a tattoo is not so easily hidden. There is not enough to go on, I would suggest however that the girl be very wary of having a relationship with a JW, they will not always act rationally or with human feeling.
