Canada Zone Visit - April 2013
by Richard_I injust got word of a zone visit for canada in april 2013, think it was april 8 to 14. sounds like its just 2 members of the u.s. branch comittee, no gb.
however, they plan on showing a talk on april 13/14 to all congregations in canada, not just a select few as has always been the case.. it'll be the same old stuff, but maybe this is why they the watchtower is purchasing all those projectors, like that "confidential" document mentions?
to broadcast things like this in all congregations?.

The updated Organized book
by Richard_I inthe updated organized to do our will book is now up.
i just skimmed through it very quickly and i think they are more lenient on reporting time now (p. 76):.
there are essential activities for which time is not counted, such as getting ready for field service, attending themeeting for field service, running errands, and so forth.

666, Revelation, and preterism
by Richard_I inon reddit, there's a post about how 666 is mistranslated as 616 in revelation (thread).
666 and 616 are both correct.
if you read into revelations, very little is presented as actual prophecy- it's an analogous tale to describe the roman empire during their persecution of christianity.. 666 and 616 come from the hebrew tradition of converting words into numerical values.

are they already working on the new buildings at warwick, ny?
by Richard_I ini noticed on the news part of jw.org, they mentioned this comment:.
"there were power outages at the branch office facilities in patterson and wallkill, new york, and these facilities ran temporarily on generator power; however, the warwick facility is still operating on generator power.
the storm also disrupted telecommunications services at these facilities.".

Beth-Sarim mentioned in 1943 Yearbook
by Richard_I inthis is what the 1943 yearbook had to say about beth-sarim on pages 33-34:.
built in 1929, at san diego, california, the house named beth-sarim has been the focal point of much enemy ridicule because it was deeded to abraham, isaac, jacob, david, jephthah, and other righteous men of old whom god has promised to make "princes" in his new world.
much publicity has been given to beth-sarim, society property, due to naming it beth sarim, which means "house of the princes", in expectation of the resurrection of these faithful men of old to be "princes in all the earth".. it was at this home that brother rutherford, the former president of the watch tower bible & tract society, finished his earthly course of life, on january 8, 1942. immediately thereafter considerable publicity was again given the home.

Watchtower IPs and Wikipedia
by Richard_I ini had some free time and decided to look up some of the watchtower's ip addresses on wikipedia, see if maybe someone from bethel is editing jw articles or blood-related articles, similar to how scientology ip addresses kept editing scientology-related articles.
the only ip addresses i could find that belong to the watchtower are in the 208.74.140.0 to 208.74.143.255 range.. well, nothing really showed.
the edits are likely by some young guys who just felt like fixing stuff on wikipedia related to their interests, and none of the edits were related to jws.
