My wife just told me to move out...

because of "religious" differences, she now wants me to move out and "separate"...i said what biblical grounds does she have for her request?.

she couldnt respond...she said she'd rather be beaten up by me than have an "apostate" in the house.... this org definitely encourages conditional love.... i don't know what to do...by the way, we dont have children.

Same here, Even though at the time I was ready to be done with both the JWs and her.. I moved out when my loyal JW wife asked me to for the exact same reason yours has asked you to.

The hand she was playing was to a) get me back in line with JW or b) My leaving the home would lead to my giving her grounds for divorce.

After I left, I spent the next year deprogramming myself and reading everything I could about the religion, I was busy but not like she thought. I had no desire to date or get involved with another person, I remained single while she became lonely, got involved with another man and she got DF.

To this day, I have not been DF nor have I DA myself. She is still DF and now an Xjw herself.

One of my biggest regrets was leaving the home when she asked me.

Don't make the same mistake!

Over 4 months, still no response to this letter to the elders!

hi everyone, its been over 4 months and i have not heard a response from the elders.

i called one of them a few weeks back.

he said they sent it to bethel and haven't heard back yet.

Sorry for your pain the WT organization has caused you and your family. I can relate, 12 years ago my wife left me when I expressed doubts about 1914 teaching. At the time I was crushed. She thought that leaving would get me back in line.

As hard as it may be to admit, you can't be soul mates if a spouse would leave you over not agreeing 100% with a religion.

Time heals.

After several years, I began to date again and have found my real soul mate.

Now I realize her leaving is one of the best things that ever happened to me, even though I would have never thought so back then.

Does not change the pain you feel. Just know that it gets better and there are others out here who understand what your going through and feeling.

Girlfriend probably getting DF'd

so the local jc decided to df my girlfriend because of basically premarital sex.. she confessed few weeks back to the elders, and the judicial system had its wheels rolling.. they confronted her today, and eventually came to the conclusion described above.. .

she told them that she regretted our sexual acts, and that we wouldn't perform that kind of actions before we're married.. they talked with her about getting married etc.

a week before the jc.. now the reason they decided to df her was not the sexual acts itself, nor the lack of regret,.

there was a distressing thread concerning this topic recently.

there is no way i can believe these stories as literal truth or even use them as any signpost to the nt jesus/god.

these scriptures make judaism and christianity look silly.

Taking a literall view of Genesis as history is crazy with all of the physical evidence that humans and civilizations were on earth far before the bible account of Genesis.

If you can't trust the very first book in the bible as being true, then why should you put trust in any other parts of this book?

Commenting at the Meetings

so i'm still going to the meetings...my spouse is still very much active...however, after i learned ttabtt...i feel like such a hypocrite in reciting (commenting) the wt writings and teachings at the meetings...in your own experience...how did you handle this situation?...and if you did comment, what did you say?...i still go out to service, however, i only use the bible and do not distribute wt literature...so far nobody has said anything lol.... .

I still attended the meetings for about a year after learning TTATT. My comments during meetings stopped for the most part, however I did go out of my way to comment on any paragraph that talked about JESUS instead of JEHOVAH. No one ever said anything to me but I am sure I sounded like a Jesus freak when those were the only times I would make a comment and the talk about Jesus was so rare.

If you feel that you must comment, find one paragraph where you feel that you could make a comment that might get others thinking a little, but without sounding full on apostate. I could blast the pharasees in a way that should have made some think, hey the JW leaders are not much different from the pharasees in Jesus day.

I agree with others to just stop, but if you feel that you must, it is possible to find paragraphs to comment on non-doctrinal issues.

Love it!

The first year I did holiday lights, we went all out, every breaker in the house was running at max capacity. It was fun, but I failed to realize at the time that all these decorations require storage space during the off season.

Let me get this straight about the FDS latest thinking

This type of thinking is proof that the governing body of Jehovah's witnesses are either

A) Completly delusional like most cult leaders.

or

B) Completly dishonest and know 100% that they are fleecing the flock.

Are there any other options on how they could come up with such BS?

One thing for sure, they don't come up with new light unless there is some problem they are trying to solve. I predict that because of this change they will stop reporting # for partakers in the future. It also solves the problem why anointed are not consulted world wide if they are all feeding the sheep.
