if you’re still on the fence, here is a story.. my grandmother, now in her 80s hasn’t talked to anyone in the family for over 20 years ever since my mother was the last one of her children that left ‘the truth’, she had sent my mother a card to never talk to her again.

so here we are 21 years later, she gets a call out of the blue that she needed help, she hadn’t been able to get into her kitchen.

JW's are a total CULT. They only care about someone as much as they are able to USE THEM and get all of their money. When you're old or sick, they are NOWHERE to be found. They are 100% USELESS FUCKERS!!!

My extremely aged parents who have been loyal to the wt all their lives are now treated with contempt. No phone calls, no visits, nothing.

They still donate to the org, send gifts to those in the kh who they feel need encouragement.

They get NOTHING in return. They are sadly scarily protective of the org too when I point out how badly they are being treated.

They just can't seem to compute/acknowledge that they are being treated like absolute crap in their time of need.

They would much rather attack me for 'trying to undermine their faith'!!!! 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Yes, I remember hearing a talk by the C.O. William Heath in the early 1990's saying "When you look at the advanced age of the governing body you realise that the end of the system must be very very soon,"

I queried that surely you cannot link the end of this system of things to the advanced age in the 1990's of some old men in Brooklyn to two elders in private conversation.

One instantly accused me of talking like an apostate, saying it was impossible for these GB men in the early 1990's to all die before Armageddon came.

The other was more thoughtful and said he understood what I was implying. He admitted he was prepared not to lose his faith if indeed all these men died and the end had still not come.

Sadly, when I pointed out this conversation to my jw family in 2024 - they instantly accuse me of talking like an apostate -

But yes, in actual fact, every governing body member that William Heath referred to is now indeed LONG DEAD!!

And I am very sorry William Heath R.I.P but the end did not come before that early 1990's GB passed away- instead we now have a completely different governing body all still proclaiming loudly that the end is soon to come...

The Memorial

the wt teaches that the memorial ( communion) should only be celebrated yearly and only the anointed can partake of the bread and wine .

is that right ?

Your post reminded me of all the changes they have made to the great crowd and the memorial.

Have I got it right?

1.Initially there was no GREAT CROWD - all bible students had a heavenly hope and had annual memorial and partook the bread and the wine.

2.Great Crowd introduced (1930's) - NOT ALLOWED to attend annual memorial.

3.Great Crowd allowed to attend memorial ('to observe') - but must not partake (year??)

4.JW's are by now mostly all great crowd - smaller and smaller numbers of the remnant attend and partake.

5. 2024 - Memorial still a great crowd affair with all new ones invited 'warned off ' taking emblems - but number of remnant increasing greatly (how many?)instead of shrinking as was the case in the past.

i’ve decided to disassociate from the jw organisation.

i cannot be part of a community that blatantly rejects the sacrifice of jesus in that demonic memorial ritual.

amazing what information you find when you start researching.. i’m writing my letter and posting it to the kingdom hall this morning.

I had a friend who DA (disassociated) about twenty years ago. The elders tried everything to stop that. But my friend was adamant.

Then about ten years ago they said to me they should have faded like me and not DA themselves because it would have caused such less hassle with all their JW family over the years.

Then a couple of years ago my friend suddenly decided to get reinstated.

I don't know how long they will last in the all new borg after being so cynical about the religion, the elders and the members of the congregation.

I guess what I have noticed is that things change, people change and you can never really know what is going to happen, or what's going on in someone's head - even if you think you know them very well...

Leaving the jw cult is not easy - it's damn hard - and the jw leadership have certainly made it that way.
