Jehovah's Witnesses no longer count time. How is this news affecting moral and meeting attendance at local congregations?

no private home book studies.

no more "essential" spiritual food meals 5x a week.

This Generation/ 1975

i was born in 1977 & came in as a convert in 2003 --- so i have no idea what went on before my time.. however i have been familiar with the scriptures of "nobody knows the day or hour" & " it will come as a theif in the night" meaning that it was sure but unpredictable time.

how could anyone belive that anyone else ( organization or not) put a date on it?.

also what was the significance of 1975 anyway?

Yes, it was well hidden from converts later on as you say.

I remember an elder telling me in the early 1980's that Fred Franz had a relative that was a massive, lying apostate.

Years later when I got to know Ray Franz via email and read his all books etc I realised that Ray was in actual fact an honest man of integrity that had taken a hard road out of the watchtower..

The last circuit overseer we had before I left was not a born in C.O.

The servants and elders meeting he took with us focused heavily on the evils of pornography.

He put down his notes at one point and said

"Brothers I was in the world for most of my adult life till I got the truth 25 years ago.I was in a rough and ready trade with rough men.

We all looked at pornography. - Figures (from memory) suggest 8/10 or was it 80 percent of men will look at some sort of pornography."

I think he was telling us all not to bullshit him as a former worldly man...

I got a text asking for my Dad's report while he was in the hospital receiving chemotherapy.

I sent a text which explained this to the service overseer who had just texted - he never replied...bastards.
