  My English is not good enough to understand every part of this accusations against Mr. Evans. I was watching this channel for two reasons: I am interested in Mr. Evans' topic and I like the landscape where he is living very much. I assure everybody that I trust a man like Mr. Evans totally. I will never forget the video when he went with his - sorry, Lloyd - broken Croatian in a help station after the horrifying earthquake in the town of Sisak. How can this man be a bad person? As a German I know much about this area. I am convinced that living with this lovely people prevents you from becoming a "sex tourist". Shame on everybody who accuses innocent fellow citizens with this kind of things.
  Thats my opinion. All the best for Mr. Evans and his beloved ones! Please take care for your mental health and privacy. You do (?) / did (?) a great job! Freedom of mind is essential for us human beings - becoming a believer or a non-believer. German law knows the right for gaining "positive Religionsfreiheit" or "negative Religionsfreiheit". You can even imagine the meanings of these technical terms of Human Right legislation. I understand Mr. Evans as a contribution to just this freedom.   Phew. I was a bit on the fence before Lloyd made the above declaration on this latest video.

  Perhaps we could all collectively apologise to Lloyd for the mix up, and Simon could have this entire thread deleted??😉

  zoe has nephew in the new bethel and we have been there to visit him.

  even had a meal in the new dinning room and had a tour.. it was a bit underwhelming and the display of old bibles open to pages showing jehovah’s name is supposed to prove everything they say is spot on!.

  everyone is talking about the upcoming dedication where members of the gb are flying over.

  so my mother passed on 20 aug 23 from the big c. i was there when she went.

  that was indeed very traumatic.

  i won't go to describe it.. dad went 17 years ago so there's just me now.

  Do Not Be Misled

  In his study of the Hebrew Scriptures, Philo made sure that he was “not omitting any allegorical meaning which may perchance be concealed beneath the plain language.” However, as found at Deuteronomy 4:2, Moses said regarding God’s Law: “You must not add to the word that I am commanding you, neither must you take away from it, so as to keep the commandments of Jehovah your God that I am commanding you.” With all his apparently good intentions, Philo added layers of speculation that, like a thick haze, obscured the clear instruction of God’s inspired Word.

  “It was not by following artfully contrived false stories that we acquainted you with the power and presence of our Lord Jesus Christ,” said the apostle Peter. (2 Peter 1:16) Unlike the writings of Philo, Peter’s instruction to the early Christian congregation was based on fact and on direction by God’s spirit, “the spirit of the truth,” which guided them into all the truth.​—John 16:13.

  If you are interested in worshiping the God of the Bible, you need truthful guidance, not interpretations based on human thinking. You need accurate knowledge of Jehovah and his will, and you need the humility to be a sincere student. If you study the Bible with that wholesome attitude, you will get to know “the holy writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through the faith in connection with Christ Jesus.” You will see that the Word of God can make you “fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.”​—2 Timothy 3:15-17.

  I was the assistant to an elder that was extremely difficult to please many years ago.

  He used to rant that his return visits were in bed on Xmas Day and New Years day at 9.30am when he called on them - He went ballistic when I suggested he could adapt his ministry holiday calling times slightly.

  After that he took every 'privilege' he could off me to try to get to me.

  Our book study was in the KH.

  It got to the point one week were he took the study, read the paragraphs, did the roving mike and the sound all by himself.

  I took myself and my family off to another group study away from that nutcase after that..
