16 Israel not only was a kingdom but also had an anointed priesthood. In 33 C.E., the Israel of God replaced fleshly Israel and became Jehovah's "servant," his "witnesses." (Isaiah 43:10) Jehovah's words to Israel recorded at Isaiah 43:21 and Exodus 19:5, 6 henceforth applied to the spiritual Israel of God. God's new spiritual nation was now "a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for special possession," responsible for 'declaring abroad Jehovah's excellencies.' (1 Peter 2:9) All in the Israel of God, men and women, form a collective priesthood. (Galatians 3:28, 29) As the subsidiary part of the seed of Abraham, they now say: "Be glad, you nations, with his people." (Deuteronomy 32:43) Those of spiritual Israel still remaining on earth make up "the faithful and discreet slave." (Matthew 24:45-47) Only in association with them can acceptable sacred service be rendered to God.
20 Still, we may ask, Do the Abrahamic covenant and the new covenant involve only these 144,000 faithful souls? No, others who are not directly in these covenants will be blessed through them, as will be seen in the following article.

3 For the 144,000, the blessing of the Abrahamic covenant is administered through the new covenant. As participants in this covenant, they come "under undeserved kindness" and "under law toward Christ." (Romans 6:15; 1 Corinthians 9:21) Hence, only the 144,000 members of the Israel of God have properly partaken of the emblems during the Memorial of Jesus' death, and only with them did Jesus make his covenant for a Kingdom. (Luke 22:19, 20, 29) Members of the great crowd are not participants in the new covenant. However, they associate with the Israel of God and live with them in their "land." (Isaiah 66:8) So it is reasonable to say that they too come under Jehovah's undeserved kindness and under the law toward Christ. While not participants in the new covenant, they are beneficiaries of it.
3. How are anointed Christians and other sheep different with regard to the new covenant?Explain how Jesus is your SOLE mediator between you and GOD please...and NOT the "faithful and discreet" slave, which is represented by the GB of the Watchtower society. Is this article not saying that your sacred service to God ( please keep in mind that worshipping God is part of sacred service rendered to God ) isn't even acceptable to God WITHOUT associating with the remaining 144,000 on earth today?
SOLE means ONLY....ONE mediator.
Please explain it to all here the same way you explain it yourselves in your hearts. Word it the same way you do when you justify this to yoursleves.
I hope you believe that Jesus is your ONE mediator and agree that the WBTS are not teaching the TRUTH in these articles. This is clearly a false teaching if you compare it to what Jesus said in the Bible in regards to Him being the ONE mediator between man and God. because if you don't, then when the reaimaing anointed JWs die, you'll have know way to render sacred service to God. And you no longer will be able to recieve God's blessings, seeing as how you do now.... THROUGH THEM, as your leaders published as spiritual food in thier liturature. And the above article says "it's reasonable to say" that you all "come under Jehovah's undeserved kindness and under the law toward Christ" BY ASSOCIATING with the remaining 144,000. NOT THROUGH CHRIST.
I personaly think that it is UNREASONABLE TO SAY.
Has these teachings of the WTS now considered old truth/ old light? Do they now teach that you are under the new covenent/Law of Christ through Christ's shed blood? And not through association with the people who make up the faithful and discreet slave?Keep in mind that the MEN who make up the "Governing Body of the Watchtower Society INC." REPRESENT the "faithful and discreet" slave.

I understand!
If I were you I would resist the urge and get to know personaly the other moms and dads that have children who go to school with your two boys. I'm sure you all have so much in common, raising children. Therefore you can make real, unconditional friendship and you can feel free to put them down as references, as they would you. Get to know people! I think the biggest benefit of that is real friendship, more than it is being able to supply job references. You are still young and you are a wonderful person. I can tell that just from you being on the board. I do know that you're shy and I remember Simon trying to prod you to post on the board because he knew you had so much to share but your shyness was keeping you from doing so!
I'm glad that your overpowered your shyness to that extent. We've all benefitted ( is that a word? ) :-) from you posting your thoughts!
No all you have to do is hope that you find an employer who will understand you seeing as how you can't put the conditional " friends " down as references. The worldly people will put no conditions on your friendship if you can find it in you to relax around them. Their love and concern will be real. If not, you'll be able to sence it right away by their actions in the workplace.
And I think most employers understand moms taking a few years off to raise their children to school age at least. especailly when they have more than one child.
I worked the same job almost since the 80's when my kids were kids! So it's only NOW that I have to provide references who are not related to me. My boss retired and shut down the company 5 months ago. I've been scared to death looking for a new job, with new people.

It's that moment that you can't list all your "friends" in the borg, because they are not going to give you a TRUE reference regarding what kind of person you are. They now see you as evil becaue you "went apostate" because you left the organization/their god.
It finally dawns on you that you have no friends who aren't related to you. because all the people you worked with who weren't JWs, were considered "worldy people" who you never got to know because of that evil label you put on them and stayed away and did not want to be "mixing in with their company". So you can't list them as references because they don't even know who you are if they were ever called.
I've been out of the borg for about 20 years and still cannot list 3 damn friends as contacts. I was taught to be antisocial in the borg, and I pay the price forever.
Some people may scoff at this, but the borg has affected us all in different ways. Those who scoff at it is because it is not one of the ways the borg affected them personally.
I'm just venting on ONE way that it affected me till death do I part.

13 According to Revelation 12:11, after Satan the Devil was ousted from heaven, the Christians whom he accused “conquered him . . . because of the word of their witnessing.” The fulfillment of this has been another feature that Jesus said would make “the conclusion of the system of things” outstanding. What feature? “This good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end [télos] will come. (Matt. 24:14) This precedes the end of the “last days.”
14 Such a witness, given by Jehovah’s Witnesses since the end of World War I on November 11, 1918, has enormously surpassed the international witness given during the “last days” of the Jewish system of things in 29 to 70 C.E. Back there the witness was given in Asia, Europe and Africa. Today it has been given not only on those continents but also in the Americas, in Australia and on the islands of the Pacific Ocean, yes, globally.
15 Scoffers at this may minimize this achievement and emphasize that the missionaries of Christendom during the centuries past got to all those places before ever the Christian witnesses of Jehovah came along. True! But the Kingdom witnessing of Jehovah’s Witnesses since 1914 has been something far different from what Christendom’s missionaries have published both before and since 1914.
16 “Different”—how so? In that it has not been a witness concerning the kingdom mentioned in Colossians 1:13, “the kingdom of the Son of [God’s] love,” into which the 144,000 “sealed” spiritual Israelites have been transferred already. (Rev. 7:1-8) What Jehovah’s Witnesses have preached world wide since 1918 is something unique, something that has distinguished these as being the “last days” of the political, social, judicial, militarized system of things. It has been a worldwide witness concerning a royal government now set up in the heavens, empowered to oust the Devil and his demons from the location of its throne. (Rev. 12:5-9) Less than two years after World War I ended, in its issue of July 1, 1920, The Watch Tower and Herald of Christ’s Presence published the leading article entitled “Gospel of the Kingdom” and quoting Matthew 24:14, and, under the subheading “Work for All,” it went on to say:
17 “The gospel means good news. The good news here is concerning the end of the old order of things and the establishment of Messiah’s kingdom. It means the dark night of sin and sorrow is passing away. It means that Satan’s empire is falling, never to rise again.”—Pages 199, 200.
18 When the preaching of this good news of the Messianic kingdom as having been established in the heavens in 1914 has been done to the extent that God wills, “then the end [télos] will come.” (Matt. 24:14) So this final Kingdom preaching world wide comes inside the “last days” of this system of things. These are therefore the proper days for the final fulfillment of the prophecy of Joel 2:28, 29 to take place, just as there was an initial fulfillment of the prophecy in the days of the apostle Peter and his fellow apostles, as he himself explained on Pentecost of 33 C.E. So our “last days” are a modern parallel of their “last days.”

3 Let the honest-hearted person compare the kind of preaching of the gospel of the Kingdom done by the religious systems of Christendom during all the centuries with that done by Jehovah’s Witnesses since the end of World War I in 1918. They are not one and the same kind. That of Jehovah’s Witnesses is really “gospel,” or “good news,” as of God’s heavenly kingdom that was established by the enthronement of his Son Jesus Christ at the end of the Gentile Times in 1914. (Luke 21:24)
Paul warned us about those who you preach something beyond the good news about Christ.
Gal. 1 6-8
6 I marvel that YOU are being so quickly removed from the One who called YOU with Christ's undeserved kindness over to another sort of good news. 7 But it is not another; only there are certain ones who are causing YOU trouble and wanting to pervert the good news about the Christ. 8 However, even if we or an angel out of heaven were to declare to YOU as good news something beyond what we declared to YOU as good news, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said above, I also now say again, Whoever it is that is declaring to YOU as good news something beyond what YOU accepted, let him be accursed.
I'd say the Watchtower's version of "good news" goes WAY BEYOND the gospel that the apostles and disciples declared and preached.

Back from the Memorial
by ScoobySnax inwell like i say, just got back from the memorial, have been going most years, but this year i went by chance (knew it was roughly at 7pm at the nearest kh) to my old congregation that i grew up in.
i didn't find the "evil" people spoke of here on this forum, or those too stupid to see.
all i did see was people i hadn't seen in years, and let me tell you, what lovely people they were.

Are you disfellowsipped or disassociatedfrom the sect /group?
You may think that question is irrelevant for the love you were openly shown, but it isn''t.
It will determine wether you are treated with love and caring, as Jesus showed and acted upon, or you being treated as a deciever and an antichrist by the Society's definition.
So tell us all? I gather you are not df'd or dissaccociated.
Your LOVING treatment ONLY depends on those two things. You KNOW that!
