Did you ever get put on the spot?
by Soledad inby that i mean from the platform at the kingdumb hall?
i remember some study conductors who had the habit of calling on people in the audience that seemed distracted or unprepared--on purpose so as to embarass them.
some were so out of it when the mic was handed to them they had to ask what was the question, why did you call on me i didnt have my hand up, etc.

Religion is good for you!! Really!!
by Soledad inhttp://channels.netscape.com/ns/news/package.jsp?name=religious_people/religious_people
do religious people really live longer?the answer seems to be a resounding yes, if you believe 42 scientific studies that examined the link between religious involvement and mortality that were reviewed by the national institute for healthcare research in rockville, maryland.
the statistic: the people who were most involved in their religions were 29 percent more likely to be alive when the various studies were completed than were their nonreligious counterparts, reports webmd.. why?

Visited by JWs today
by Soledad inmy mom had an accident about two weeks ago, fortunately she is ok. im living in my parents house now after my husband (yet again) threatened to "beat the crap out of me"---that story in another post some other time.
needless to say, ever since she got out of the hospital the phone rings about 50 times a day, mostly calls from the "hermanos.
" today a couple that i have known for about 15 years comes to visit, and their "discomfort" with my presence (i am da) is quite noticeable.
