  elizabeth vargas' yearlong investigation into the independent fundamental baptist church airs friday, april 8. .

  try to imagine the pain and humiliation of a teenage girl, just 15 years old, who says she was forced to stand in front of a new hampshire church congregation and confess her "sin" of being pregnant.

  My ex- JW wife, what,s her problem!!!!

  I had a similar circumstance recently . A old JW friend I knew years ago was the same way with her kids. Mostly screamed at them. I even saved one of them from being choked by her when they were an infant.(she is in her 40's now) She also gave her husband custody of two of them and was pregnant with another one when they divorced. She tried to tell her ex it was his baby and he believed her for years..when she got older they realized it was not his!.. They are all grown up now and she is in California. She recently layed a sob story of how she needs help to one of her daughters here to come and help her. The girl finally quit her job and packed up to go help her Mom. The girl is not a JW. Well since she has been in Calif. helping her mom she has been bombarded to join the 'Truth". Everyday the girl gets on the facebbok and says"I don't know how much more I can take". I laugh because I know what she is talking about. The JW mom got reinstated and has gone over the edge and is a JW fanatic now. She has 25 cats in one of her bedrooms, a old lady she has taken in to supplelment her income in another and she has the other bedroom. She makes this daughter sleep on the couch..

  If this Son of yours gets around his Mom enough, that alone will convince him that he wants no part of the religion. They are some of the most negative people I have ever met. They suck you in so slowly you don't even realize it unless you have been out in the world. Normal people just aren't that negative all the time.

  My good news is that the one daughter that was so illtreated by her JW momm and that I rescued from her mom when she tried to choke her has contacted me and we are very close friends now. She considers me her real mom as her Mom used to drop her off for me to watch a lot and I have taken her to be one of my daughters..She is disfellowshipped and I have done all I can to give her back some pride in herself. The Mom accused her of having demons in her. Her and I had a long talk about the religion..she is slowly accepting the fact that all they say is not the "Truth". The hard part is she was raised in it pretty much and believes a lot of it as truth. Born ins have a tough time letting go sometimes. Her Mom won't even speak to her now. I feel so bad for her..soming to this site has really shown me how cruel some JW mothers can be. Your childs mother sounds like one of them..

  Big hugs for your kids..they are lucky to have you!!!

  Africa is amazing..my grandson was there not to long ago and posted many pictures on his facebook. Lou Belle is a wonderful person and I bet it was a great priveledge to meet her. as it was for her to meet you.. She is my facebook friend and it is a delight to read her posts..

  it's not the fault of the people who believe it but those that teach it.

  false religion teaches people nonsense and since their flocks know nothing about the bible, they don't know how to reason such teachings from the scriptures.

  anything that doesn't make sense, like this subject or the trinity, they're told that's where faith comes in.

  How would the mind handle eternal torture in Hell?

  from what we know of the human brain how would it react to the stimuli of, say, 1000 years of burning alive?

  what does a a mind that is used to burning as an existence act like?

  would they eventually be able to stop screaming in pain on their own.

  But I dont believe in hell. Thats an idea from the dark ages and Dantes inferno. It was used to draw numbers in the church in the same way modern people love horror movies.

  There is no punishment for evil. Other than eternal death without ressurection. You can be as bad as you want without fear of hell. Its works out better that way. God dont want people to follow him because of fear of punishment. We should do things his way because we agree and willingly want to do them.

  That's just it, no one really knows for sure one way or another...that's the only thing you CAN be sure of..

  IN childbirth I had a dream that our brains live on when we die..I was only a brain and had left my body. It was going around in circles like the rings around Saturn.I could hear the song Farmer in the Dell in the background. (The dog ate the cat, the cat ate the rat, etc.) When I came to I had a horrible fear that it may be true..what do you think?

  Breaking News - Another Craigslist Killer, 9 bodies found

  on the news right now, 9 bodies total count thus far found on long island ny.

  all these women were prostitutes who listed ads on craigslist.

  A few years ago we had that happen. They kept finding bodies of prostitutes along a deserted area of a river road..You would think after a while they would have started patrolling a little more..they never did catch who did it..but it finally stopped. I guess the guy moved on..

  Didn't know they were calling it "The craiglist killer" again..

  They found one girls body they were never able to identify, her picture will stay in my mind forever..it looked like an old gilfriend of mine..

  i am sick and tired of people putting down posters like the andersons!

  they work hard to expose some things we might never have known about.

  why some find fault with them, or ray franz before them, or maximus when he was here is beyond me.. be thankful for those that decide to come here and share what they know about this organization.. we get elders who are still in their positions and they share with us a lot of interesting news and perspectives.

  Who's old enough to remember Queen for a Day?

  when i was a kid back in the late 50's / early 60's (yes, i am very old, now let's move on) there was a television program that capitalised on the lives of miserable women.

  it was my mom's favourie.

  each day monday to friday there would be four women on the show, each with a sad story to tell.

  I also watched the Howdy Doody Show..Gene Autrey show..listened to "The Shadow"..on the radio..was that the one that opened with a squeeky door? Helped us kids to have a great imigination..nothing like listening to a mystery story on the radio..
