my mother lives a plane trip away from me, so does not get to spend very much time with zac.
however, she is in sydney for 3 weeks and has been babysitting.
i knew that she would be talking about jehovah, but was very annoyed yesterday when zac said my mother was speaking all day about jehovah, such as how he made the stars.. in the past, i was not overly concerned if zac learnt about jehovah's witnesses, as i thought it would help with critical thinking skills to understand different points of view.
Good idea Sketter..I like it. Brainwash can work both ways.. I would do anything to protect my kids..I would also correct the child when they say "Jehovah" and say "you mean God?" It will catch on..And is it possible to block Skype for now?..
Just a reminder..my kids are in their 50's now. Been out for over 30 years..still occasionally have a bad dream about the "Paradise Book". I would in no way let her read that or any of their other so called "Children's" books to my child.

Quote:"Maybe professional wrestling isn't real, but the impact its athletes can have on people isn't limited by its legitimacy. Enter Diamond Dallas Page, a former WCW, WWF/WWE and TNA star, who has transformed himself in a fitness and wellness guru at age 56. Spurred on by "Power Yoga," Page went from battered and bruised to bouncing with life and flexibility and has continued to spread the word.
That word reached Arthur Boorman, who was a disabled veteran from the Gulf War that had been told he would never be able to walk under his own power ever again. Then he read an article about Page's success, and started doing Page's workout (DDP Yoga). The transformation documented below changed Boorman's life, and has already inspired over 1.5 million YouTube views.
Just another testament to the power of yoga, and how just because one part of your life ends, it doesn't mean another greater part can't begin.".
(Personally I have never tried Yoga but have heard nothing but good things about it..I think it is worth a shot. I think older people can benefit from it as it helps with their balance later in life..)

the truth that leads to eternal life?
i am trying to raise some money for school, and my father has given me consent to sell his collection on e-bay, which dates back to the rutherford days.
my sibling and its progeny have no interest in retaining the library, so he would rather sell the books, than see the collection eventually go in the trash.. .

Quote:
From 1966 to 1975 the Watchtower regularly implied that Armageddon would arrive in 1975. However, ask a Jehovah's Witnesses about this date and they will invariably deny there ever being such statements or that the Watchtower assigned any importance to 1975. The following exhaustive list of quotes shows exactly what the Watchtower said.
i used to camp alot as a kid.
i was in cub scouts and boy scouts.
dad and i went to lot's of camping trips.
As a family we went camping in all kinds of vehicles..a army tent..then we upgraded to a "modern tent" that had a mist everytime it rained. (I wanted our old army tent back.) Then we got a pop up tent camper..then a big camper that you pulled..had everything you need including air conditioning..I think my favorite was the pop up camper.
Today I would be afraid to go camping..too many nuts out there allowed to run free.
Back in the late 50's and early 60's it was nice. Not too many neighbors so you felt more like you were camping..now it's like a hotel..neighbors right next to you. You can hear them snore..
People aren't as courteous as they were then either..they didn't play their music so loud that everyone within a blocks distance can hear it. They think it's their God given right to do what ever they want.
I can see where young folks could have a ball camping now tho..especially on a float trip weekend...if they live through it..

i have an ad on craigslist, someone responded to my ad.
she knows the neighborhood pretty good and we already traded some pics, but i have the feeling that she is a scam artist.
she only send me half of her face(nice mouth and teeth but not her nose, eyes, hair) and a very nice body.
A person has to be a little nuts to pick someone up on craigs list..that is the Stupidest of stupid in my eyes..
Didn't you see "The Craigs list killer"?

What happened to finding a mate doing charity work or through friends or neighbors or little old ladies trying to fix you up?Or a divorced father of kids at school (If you have kids).
Anywhere but Craigs list..
as i expect many of you can guess, i am very sceptical about unproven medical techniques, and find some of the claims made by homeopathic medicine quite ludicrous.
when i was a witness i saw lots of faith in "alternative" medicine, so long as it didn't border on anything to do with demunz, it was probably being promoted by some crank pot sister.
i would be interested in what opinions you guys and gals have.. anyway here's the article.. http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/breaking-news-old/watchdog-blast-homeopathy-site-over-whooping-cough/story-fn3dxity-1226346266370.
I think a little of both medicine practices will work..there are good and bad to both sides. Some Drs go too far in dispensing meds and homeopathic helps your body fight on it's own..better that depending on meds..if by some chance your body can't fight it off then I would go to prescription meds..
And I always remember "A ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."
She will regret it when in a couple years the Dr tells her she has skin cancer..
I thought she resembled a toasted marshmellow..
i never loved the beatles.
i especially didn't care all that much for john lennon.. bob dylan, i never got his appeal!.
any songs that just didn't do anything for you?.
I have to say I never liked the people that were famous back in the 50's 60's and 70's ..and yet now I love them..go figure..
