Alienation of affection?

i wonder if the jw's leaders can be sued when they disfellowship someone in a family and then the family shuns them?

after all the jw leaders are the sole cause of a loved one getting the shaft from their family members..right?...

isn't that what "alienation of affection means?

I guess with all tlhe immorality going on today they had to do away with it..the courts would be filled with angry wives/husbands that had been cheated on.

It just sounds so good to use in the case of shunning..

Interracial Marriage

here is a question i want to pose because i do not know the correct answer.

i have seen many interracial married couples among jehovah's witnesses--moreso than i have seen in other religions.

however, i have been told that once upon a time, interracial marriage was frowned upon by the wts hierarchy.

When we had the teens over to our house for fun, a few of them black, we were later taken aside and told that we can associate with them at the hall but not in public as it may stumble someone..

We continued to associate with them anyway. It didn't help when one of the black teen boys got a while teen girl pregnant..

Since she was a elders daughter neither got disfellowshipped just marked so to speak..

What would you think or do if you saw A active JW acting contrary to what they preach?

a few years ago i attended the bar in a lodge.

a private establishment, but groups could rent it out.

for private parties.

I see it all the time on facebook..one constantlay talks about all the wonderful booze drinks they had and the hangovers..and another is constantly walking down memory lane about her high school dances, teen music..and other worldly comments..then she will later post a scripture about how wonderful Jehovah is..

Being a catty female, I have the urge to "tattle" on them..

Do you view the word "Apostate as derogatory"

i just want to know how friends feel about the word "apostate" when being used to refer to them?, do you feel relegated?..

The only people that I know today that use the word is the JW's. And they aren't using it as a compliment..it does offend my senses as i know they are taking it out of it's true meaning as I see it...

To me It simply means to leave a religion. They act like you are turning your back on God and his people which it isn't the case. It is the religion/beliefs they teach.

i mean, come on.. it's a damn religion that you would die for.. you call yourself a "minister".. and i bet you believe that you could debate like, a harvard-educated theologian under the table or something.... .

so, jwn-ers, how many "jehova witness", "jehova witneses", or "jehovas' witness"es are you friends with on fb?.

Something has really annoyed me and I need to get it off my chest

my children's paternal grandmother (g) and great grandmother's (gg) racist attitudes.

i'm sorry but i really need to vent about this.... g was saying how she'd taken my son to the beach yesterday.

she parked away from the seafront so had to walk through the fairground to get to the beach.

The way things are going we will eventually have one race on the planet..

As a "Older generation " I still have to fight my racist feelings..Remember, we were totally brainwashed as children. I was taught that the Jews were a dirty people and should be avoided at all costs..and don't even stay on the same side of the street as the gypsy people..

I wish I could stick around to see how it all turns out.

In remote rural places without sewage or septic systems, small populations allow for the continued use ofhoney buckets and sewage lagoons (see anaerobic lagoon) without the threat of disease presented by places with denser populations.
