  His way of dealing with criticism hasn't changed, and many people have pointed out his attitude and actions for a long time. I think the difference is the video confession. In the past, he could send his supporters after a critic, who would be overwhelmed by the numbers and vitriol. But now, the numbers are much lower and the remaining supporters can't be as rabid, since they're defending a pretty shabby person whose worst traits can be thrown back at them.

  It's a huge self-own, and I don't expect him to recover from it.

  i was under the impression that it was going to be a short war, that russia’s military would indeed subdue ukraine’s forces quickly but that is not happening.

  seems that russia’s military power is much less than it’s reputed to be.

  The Kremlin announced that it will hold a ceremony to mark the annexation of four regions in Ukraine, which are currently being fought for. I think they are digging in for the long haul. The western nations that are helping Ukraine will probably do the same.

  So it now becomes a question of who breaks first: Will Russia run out of manpower before the west runs out of equipment or just get tired of pouring money into the war?

  various researchers a have been looking for an anti-aging pill based on the assumption that, if you can maintain a higher.

  level of various endogenous anti-oxidants ( catalase, sod, etc), you could probably slow down the aging process.

  Hi DJW, I was making a joke about the spoonful of cinnamon. A couple of years ago it became a viral challenge on video sites, with people trying to swallow a spoonful and regretting it quickly.

  So yeah, a warning to anyone who thought my comment above was serious: Trying to ingest a spoonful of cinnamon is a very VERY bad idea. Cinnamon is both caustic and hydrophobic, which means you will experience a very sudden and extremely unpleasant sensation in your mouth. It is also ground to a fine powder, and this can be inhaled, which is also a very bad thing to happen. Since it is mostly cellulose, the particles can enter the lungs and cause irritation and damage, and they are almost impossible to get out of the lungs once they get in.

  It's just a reminder that many of the things that are good for us can also be bad for us, if we don't keep doses and usage suggestions in mind. We ingest a lot of chemicals every day, and by and large those chemicals keep up alive and healthy and functioning. But it's a fine balance and I always approach new diet/health info with some skepticism.

  Many abuse victims do indeed blame themselves, as a coping mechanism. Most people will put up with a surprising amount of mistreatment and hard times. Until/unless they reach a true "I've had it moment," they will continue to accept an environment that suppresses them and causes them harm. They will excuse it by claiming that they have no other option, or that they're doing it for the kids. But until they reach that tipping point, they won't do anything about it.

  And many people never reach that tipping point. They lead lives devoid of life, so to speak. There's little to be done for someone who will not break out of the cage they have built for themselves.

  15 years ago there were 5 congregations now there is only one and it is still struggling.

  congregations closing their doors doesn’t mean business is good.

  it looks like this last one to fold had no young witnesses, they either left the religion or moved.

  Some of those who make the effort will feel as if they're proving their dedication. They are the ones who get asked to be interviewed in circuit and district conventions. "Brother A, what was your situation like?" "Well Brother B, we had to make a two-hour round trip to the meetings, but we were determined to do it, even when the weather was bad and we were sick, we trusted in Jehovah! And that time we were beaten and mugged on the way back home, we praised God that at least they didn't kill us!"

  My mother dragged us to meetings during times when we had to walk through some bad areas and take a 30 minute bus ride. Nothing would have stopped her.

  Overlapping Generation

  the september 2015 broadcast had david splane explain matthew 24:34 “truly, i say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place”.

  his explanation of this scripture was by means of a chart to indicate an overlapping generation.. .

  no scripture was used to show the overlapping generation concept, and as a result it makes no sense.. to illustrate how crazy this concept is, look at the lyrics of the song my generation.. my generation.

  I can just imagine the GB asking people to keep them updated on which oldest person met which youngest person so that they can figure out just how long this new concept will go.
