by DATA-DOG ini am just curious, and not judging.
if you are a christian and you know that december 25th is not jesus' birthday, and may have pagan roots, then why celebrate it?

Robert7 exactly right. When I die I know I did the right thing for me and my family. As a born in we just did nothing on Christmas but talk bad about the worldly people it was a negative now my life is so much better and we enjoy each other not judge. I feel sorry for my mom no contact with me or my son or my wife ( What did they do?). What a horriable life to live. I go to my wife's parents on Christmas and their are 4 generations of mothers loving their children all in front of me. What a great time I was excluded from cause of a cult.

by Perry indefinition: a thought-terminating cliche is a commonly used phrase, sometimes passing as folk wisdom, used to quell cognitive dissonance.. here's mine: we don't believe that way ..... we are christians in this home..

I am not a Christian but I love Christmas. It is about family and tradition. I find it refreshing not like a stupid boring meeting about nothing and then more nothing. Me and my wife take out wonderful decorations all around the house and every year buy another ornament for our family tree. It you haven’t figured it out yet that is what life is really about. Family and friends living a good honest life yet not tied to some man made cult or religion. Christmas is what I want it to be and me and my family now have memories forever. God bless Christmas!!!!!!

Jehovah`s Witnesses have always declared themselves as fearless proclaimers of Gods truths .....Then why....?
by smiddy inthen why are they so silent , in comparison with the roman catholic church of christendom , who they have criticised time and time again in their 100+ years of existance , their is very little, if nothing at all about the other two faiths with a common background .
namely islam and it`s various sects , and judaism , with it`s various sects .. how often, if at all, has the watchtower done an expose of islam, and it`s many sects , using the quran/bible proving the prophet mohammed is a false prophet .could it be they are afraid of the backlash it would unleash ?
how fearless are they really ?.

I remember once listening to a Christian Radio program that said they wrote a letter to the WBTS to come and speak at their church as long as they could have an hour at the end of their talk of course there was no reply from them. I thought what a great chance for JW’s to witness to these mislead people of Christendom and show them the Truth lol cowards all of them. It just goes to show they prefer the shadows and are only fearless proclaimers in the comfort of their own boasting sessions where they can eject anyone for even raising an eyebrow at the wrong time.

Zero. The Bible is a bunch of stories brought together by the Catholic Church hundred of years later. If I had the power to heal and make the world perfect why would I not? I wouldn't need to kill everyone to prove how awesome I am just to make man know that I have power and make sure they all worship me.

Looking to speak to current & ex-JWs in Australia
by nomoreklondikes inhope you don't mind me posting.
i'm a freelance writer, and am currently writing a story on the jehovah's witnesses church for a melbourne magazine.
i've spoken with an elder/spokesperson of a melbourne jw church, who explained the official positions of the church at length, but i'm really interested in getting more of a sense of the day to day experiences of jws, both current and former.

One more thing I hope you address in this article. Imagine having hundreds of friends a mother, father, sisters, brothers etc. You have a serect meeting in a back room that nobody can be in but you. They ask Do you believe the Governing Body is inspired by God? I said no I don't believe that and poof everyone is gone everyone. It is anounced on stage at their kingdom hall that is it. They never talk to you again you are evil prideful and have left god. Dont let them fool you that only gross sinners are shunned ANYONE I mean ANYONE that questions the leaders are shunned no matter what. Please please put that in your article
