The axe falls...
by Abaddon in... hi ho hi ho, it's not off to work we go.... well, i am redundant, or will be as of end april, when the two factories of my company shut-down and approx.
500 people get made redundant.. nil desperandum and all that... i don't see this as a disaster... if it had been announced in a month i would probably have just signed mortgage papers, and that, whilst still not a disaster would be a tad inconvenient!.

UN vs Watchtower Society
by joelbear inthe watchtower has pronounced the un as being the disgusting thing because it is trying to bring about world peace instead of putting its faith in jehovah to do that.. the watchtower claims to be jehovah's tool and itself attempts to unite the peoples of the world into a united organization going so far as to monitor and punish the behavior of individuals around the world.. how are the watchtower's actions different from the united nations actions?.

my hands are a bit shakey, but i'm settling down and feeling better, all in all.
the elder had left messeges this weekend (i was out of town), and i had heard from my mother a week previous that they were going to come gunning for me.

I just have to wonder what made people come up with the belief in a higher Spirit that they called the Creator.
If people created it strictly as a control feature, wouldn't it be easier for them to somehow assert that they themselves were some sort of god? The Egyptians used to think that their leaders were gods, yet they still believed they were incarnations of a higher life form.
It makes some sense if they were actually cognizant of evolution, and logically assumed that since their existence came about from lower species reaching a higher plateau, then men would eventually reach a higher point as well. I don't understand why they would 'create' a creator for the purpose of control. If I wanted to control someone, I would make them believe that I was the ultimate authority on everything. I wouldn't create something that gave what I wanted (control) to someone or something else.
And why would it be so easy for people to believe in God if they didn't have that inclination anyway?

by happy man inis it any more religions on earth who have over 6 million members, and who not are taking a part inn war, and not take part inn politics .
, some say we have more , but i dont find anyone who is inn almost evry country on this earth, it can not be easy to lead this peopel, some here complain very much, but if you will lead 6 millions you will se it is not easy.. if i compere widh other organisations who i now, the problem are minimal.
we can see a clear thing today, evrything is breaking upp, .

Happyman, I want to add that even though JW's are mentioned in this article as helping the Jews, it is a fact that as late as 1934, they were publishing their agreement with Hitlers ideals and opposition to the Anglo-American powers that were run by the Jews and Irish Catholics(big business). It wasn't until Hitler refused to accept their refusal to serve his military that they turned against him.
The Quakers have a much longer history of being neutral and helpful to the oppressed during national conflicts.
