  what were some funny experiences you had of things that happened during talks at the meetings?.

  a few of mine:.

  - a brother had dyed his hair before his talk and it was raining heavily when he arrived at the hall and the dye was running down his face during his talk and his skin went more and more grey as the black dye ran down it.

  it reads rather culty.

  i think clause number 9 is particularly worrying...to adhere to, not the bible alone, but also the watchtower literature and the governing body.

  Wasting the fittest and strongest thier bodies will ever be in slavery!

  The new age of bethelites must be a special kind of crazy. The JW cult has changed everything it teaches,reference:1914 overlapping etc etc. And despite all that they STILL sign up. Honestly they would have a better time in the military.

  as i spend more time here, things id forgotten come back, mostly bad and some i plan to share eventually.. but this one is happy, one of a sunday talk by a new elder from nigeria in our hall.

  i remember the intro word for word.

  id like to share it with you.. "brothers, sisters, newly interested ones.

  "Brothers, Sisters, newly interested ones. I know most your faces here as you know mine.

  Id like to ask you all a question.

  What can we learn from a goat?! (The hall fills with laughter and the elder has a grin and has a chuckle too)

  Well! Let me tell you the struggle of the goats ans the goats keeper. A Goat will eat, consume, digest what ever it is given or what ever it is left no option to eat.

  If the goat is fed on good,high quality food the goat will grow strong! The goat will reap you milk and off spring and live a healthy life!

  If you neglect the goat it will be a very different story. You see, if you feed the goat Shit, it will become shit, but the goat will only eat the shit if lef.............."

  The hall errupts in both gasps and and laughter. I was working the sound box and i had the PO say rather loud "ScruffMcBuff turn the sound off!!!" In a huge panic and rushed to the platform.

  The talk was scrapped and we skipped to the watchtower.

  Turns out in the elders home country "shit" is infact not a swear word and used freely!

  This remains the BEST meeting i ever attended.

  What immodest clothing have you got in trouble for wearing?

  i personally have a very distinct sense of style and fashion which many of the fellow jdubs frown upon.

  recently, i was told by a few specially self righteous ones that i looked like a prostitute in a pair of white boots!

  a pair of 3 inch heeled, just a little taller than the ankle boots, with skirt that came down to my knees and a black long sleeve shirt that came up to my collarbone.

  I was councelled by both my dad and the elders for having the sleeves on my shirt too tight around my biceps.

  I tried to explain that shirts arent made for people my shape but,Nope! Satan was in my sleeves!!

  My Dead Mother Called Me This Morning!

  i woke up a little after 5 am this morning and looked at the clock and realized i had more time to sleep so i fell right back asleep.

  i had this dream that i was letting my girlfriends dog out of her house and the next scene i was at work and i got a phone call.

  the room i was in simply had a table and phone it was very bare.

  ok i'm ready for the transition.

  i am not writing anything to anyone or writing some dumb letter.

  the calls and visits trying to get me to come back will soon follow, the family guilt trips will intensify, loss of friends- really more like cult member associates, how the hell am i supposed to do this?

  I was disfellowshiped, So unqualified to offer advice on how to fade etc. But if i may I will add this. They only have as much controll and power over you as YOU give them.

  You dont have to return thier calls.

  You dont have to answer thier questions

  You dont have to go to thier bullshit kangaroo court.

  Once your out you will realise how insignificant,sad and pitiful they really are.

  Well done this is a big moment and I for one am very happy to hear your finally breaking free.
