The only thing that surprises me about the GB, is that they have not yet(to my knowledge) taken INDIVIDUAL WORDS from any statement/comment/book, and strung THEM together.

I hope the GB is not reading this, I would not want to give them 'bad ideas' and compromise thier ethics.

Organization non-members ARE approved by God

does the bible contain accounts of persons who, while not active members of "organized" religion have god's appoval?

if it does, this would contradict watchtower teaching, since they often claim that anyone who's not a baptized member of their organization will suffer destruction.

further they claim that only active members of their "organization" have god's approval.

As you have pointed out, there are a lot of people in the Bible not in an org. but approved by God.

I have looked hard in several versions of the Bible and no-where can I find reference to which org. Jesus belonged.

On the other hand, if the JW's are right, and if God has always used an org. and if they believe in the Bible, and if the early church described in Acts was an org. they WHY don't the JW's do what the early church did as descrbed FULLY in Acts.. Namley SELL ALL THIER POSSESIONS AND HOLD THE MONEY IN COMMON?

Are they afraid of the ANANIAS/SAPPHIRA syndrome, or would helping the poor take money away from the sale of books? OOPS my mistake, from the donations that some people make?

Here in the UK it is a criminal offence to have knowledge of a crime and not report it to the authorities.

I believe it is called 'Conspiring to Pervert the Course of Justice' but you would have to check with the legal people on the exact definition.

What if the JW's lost 1/2 of their followers?

in my humbly opinion, the wts is afraid of loosing their uncommissioned & unsalaried "sales people".

the numbers haven't been realy rising except in economically disadvantaged countires, edc, also known as 3rd world countires.

the countries that report jw growth are the same ones that also report growth of the aids epidemic.

Please tell me HOW they know His name, My historical reserch tell's me that the Israelites/Jews said that God's name was to Holy to say and so stopped using it and in time the TRUE pronunciation was lost, so tell me please, how can ANYBODY these day's know what His TRUE name is.

I agree that JEHOVAH is as good a guess as any, But that could be said for ANY reasonable guess.

The book that will bring Ethics to the GB.

the governing body may be too old to teach sex education.

but they are wise in other matters.. i have made a new topic since i slaughtered the book in the last topic of raymond franz.

do not forget that he made a mistake in being a 100% governing body thinker.. no organization at its early stages can live up to jehovah's expectations and no one is perfect.. please list some good ideas, ethics that the governing body has done here.

The problem is that ONLY the organisation say's that they are God's organisation.

Disfellowshipping is one of the ways to keep God's Organization clean.

I agree, but disfellowshipping must be for ALL offenses, not just the one's chosen by the org.

Too bad the churches don't feel the same. They may try to fix the problem but with dire results.

True! but the churches do not claim to be perfect, the org. does. See the problem?

Only the org. say's this, the bible does not. The bible say's FALSE RELIGION is with the beast.

This the bible DOES say, but it still does not identify WHICH is false religion, what about all the religions that state that they are Non-Christan, are they False, misguided or what? and who say's so?

JW's are told principles by Jehovah and not any rules.

What about the rules on dress? I was in the local KH last sunday and listened to the talk on dress code and I could not help thinking that nowhere in any of my bible's does it say anything about Jesus wearing a business suit when He was on His ministry, does that mean that He would not be allowed to go door to door with a JW?

Many times in the bible we hear about people washing His feet(and others) before settling down to hear His words. Does that not proove that the WORD is more important than the appearence? Yet the org. makes such a big deal over appearence.

Surely this is an example of 'rules before bible truth'?

this is gonna take a while so bear with me .... i dunno where to start.

well i'm still a jw, still going to meetings etc although you do feel pretty bad sitting there knowing you'd like to be any place else.

like i've read from so many of you i've been the perfect jw kid excellent meeting attendence, good field service blah blah all that crap.

Maybe you can build up a circle of non-JW friends through your business and then you would not feel so isolated. It might, in time, make your decision easier.

So that they might understand the MEANING of the word Ethics.
