Angry and scared
by BlackWolf ini feel like everything that comes out of my mothers mouth is something negative and cringe worthy.
all she seems to talk about with me is how terrible and demonic our disfellowshipped relatives are, how horrible the world and holidays are, or how she is so much better and "holier than thou".
it really makes me sick sometimes.

How many times did you see a JW start a business
by karter inwith the intention of spending less time working and more time in f.s i saw this many times.
an ex c.o started a carpet cleaning business with the charter being spending less time working more time in f.s.
he has long since passed away and the company is now huge being the major player in flood resteration and employing 100's of people one of the owners i spoke to recently was sick due to using to many chemicals but carries on becouse he loves the money even though he's worth millions.

Many years ago l was working for a roof restoration company and the sales manager was an elder.To work at this company it was a requirement to form your own company.the sales manager recruited well over 2 dozen elders from all over and trained them all to be high pressure salesman with an agenda.An agenda to rip people off.the work being done was very poor quality but the elders just turned a blind eye as they do.As long as they got paid their commission they didnt care.l should have exposed them all but couldnt be bothered at the time.

by IMHO in1. you can't have sex until your married.. 2. you're not married until you've gone through a legal ceremony.. 3. you get 'unscriptually' (although legally) divorced therefore not 'free' to remarry'.
4. can you still 'scriptually' have sex with your former spouse?.

What Were Your Elders Real World Jobs?

and that the elders are appointed based on how many meetings they attend, hours they put in on the ministry and general attitude to other elders (as apposed to, you know, actual theological training and counseling) - so my question is, what were your elders occupations outside the kingdom hall?.

I am deeply ashamed that I didn't accept evolution until a few years ago...
by ILoveTTATT2 inso... i live in mexico and i am helping with an esl class (english as a second language).
actually, i am helping with two classes.
i get two days a week in which i just stand there and have a debate with the class, encouraging as many as possible to just talk... in english.. anyways, i like talking about subjects that generate debate.

Whilst sitting at meetings as a child against my will to be there l would think of all the reasons why l considered this religion to be a false .l loved my pets as a child as l still do and anyone that has pets know what lm talking about.The witnesses preached that in the paradise There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things ... And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more ... Death shall be no more; nor sorrow, nor wail of woe, nor pain; for the first things ..So l reasoned that people will still have pets in the paradise and will love their pets so how will they react when a pet dies?A natural response would be to mourn that death and shed tears.Alarm bells went off in my head.How could you not react to the death of your beloved pet.?
