  in recent years significant progress has been made in solving the question of how life originated on our planet.. how do you think theists will respond when it finally happens?

  as a former christian i know my reaction would have been something like "well that just goes to show that it takes intelligent life to make life", but for two reasons that defense doesn't work.. firstly it would prove that life is not an ethereal force that originates with god.

  there is no 'ghost in the machine', no elan vital.

  hello again.Cofty you said on page 14 that satan can never create life.Well lve got news for you he did.Maybe not satan himself but many of his mates did.lnfact life came about from an inanimate being turning into an animate being.Ah thems was the days.

  had two lovely jws (stephen and ruth) visit this morning.

  this was our second study in the last 2 weeks.

  they first knocked on my door (bell is out) 3 weeks ago and i shared my testimony and we arranged to meet last tuesday which we did.. our first study went like this:.

  Hello Vanderhovan7 l am interested to find out what they meant by we are not the only true religion. I wanted to challenge Stephen on his statement that there was freedom of belief without repercussion. He affirmed that he was free to believe anything he wanted. And something else both affirmed vigorously; that other churches are not part of satan's organization and that JWs don't believe they would be destroyed at Armageddon because they were associated with Christendom. LOL he even said, we are( not the only true religion.) More gasps on my part...but this time I would not let it go.

  well that`s what was impressed on me to differentiate between the true religion and false religion , when i was converted in 1960 , do they still claim that ?

  believing that they still do , i will say this.. what about ,:the governing body who definitely are set apart from the rank and file for their attitude towards the r&f , but also from the attitude of the r&f towards the governing body members.many do seem to idolise gb members by their actions , and the gb members dont seem to discourage that.. and not only for their attitude , how about their life-style , being housed in bethel with all the mod -cons of modern civilization as opposed to a r&f member living in a third world country .does the wt society do anything to make their lifestyle improve ?

  meeting with elders about WT involvement in UN

  i still go to the meetings because of my in wife and it came about that the elders knew of my pissed off attitude about the society getting involved in the un.

  so the elders said they could help me get over that and wanted to meet with me.

  now just to let you know, i have only told my wife and her mom so far about it, that's it.

  as we know, every month on the "official broadcasting" presentation, a new "music video" is presented.. can these possibly be any more cringe-worthy??.

  the words, music, singing are so, so bad....i mean, so bad!.

  surely witnesses are not so stupid that they don't harbor secret feelings of awkwardness when they see these?.
