The Light Actually IS Getting Brighter
by Magnum inthe light really is getting brighter, but what kind?
i can think of three types of figurative light in this context:.
1) that which jws refer to and they base on pr 4:18. light on a path... light that gets brighter.

The path that wt has trod is now exposed through the better focus of communications.
wt's mistake/dilemma is, to project the failures of the dark past to still mark their "about the future" doctrines.

Shunning from different perspectives

this interesting article on abc australia covers views of people ex-communicated or shunned by a couple of institutions.

With resilience and strength … people can find ways to create a life worthwhile and meaningful for them, even after an event like this.
P: hear, hear, think of Joseph after his expulsion, aka "disfellowshipping"; Galileo after his shunning, banning of his books, and the later success that the ideas he fostered saw.

DJ, I should have said too seriously, because it is, after all accepted literature, subject to critical reviews and viewed by a billion plus as basis of their faith, even if they do not know all the amazing details.

one can not take all these stories seriously, such as concurrent with the carpenter's death, the graves opened, and resurrected "saints" going into Jerusalem. of course once you accept the talking snake, why not go full bore? boring.
shunning? a badge of honour.

unique author names give me an inkling that they may have been of the ilk, that some are, when they leave the Jws and start thinking they are prophets
BT: that is a syndrome, not unique to ex jws. Kepler, Newton and even Einstein deep down believed, that they had, through their work, some kind of profound personal connection to the creator.
Malik sounds similar to Tesla.

The Watchtower is NOT a false prophet
by The Quiet One inregarding what some have said here about the wt being a false prophet.. i would like to make my point regarding the wt not being a false prophet... so please, if you can be patient enough to read this, at least try to understand what i am getting at.. a false prophet is one who, according to deuteronomy, makes a false prediction of the future and claims that the prediction came from god, or in other words claiming that 'god has said he will do a certain thing at a certain time' etc.. for example, hypothetically speaking, if someone had claimed: "god will bring about the end of the world in 2010", they would have been proven to be a false prophet, obviously.
but, as an example, imagine a man who claimed the position of a prophet of god, (as moses did, because although he was not the type of prophet that predicted the future.. he was still a prophet or spokesman for god) and that he had publicised worldwide, according to his interpretation of a (for example) prophecy found in the book of isaiah, that the world would end in 2010.. and he had also stated that he was not saying that god will end the world in that year.. but only that there was biblical evidence that god might do so.
that would clearly have been a mistake.

The " --MILLIONS NOW LIVING WILL NEVER DIE" that wt started to talk about in 1918, requires at least 2 million baptized and faithful jws to be present and be preserved at Armageddon.
If they existed, they would be 103 year old today. in 2034, 120 years past the enthronement in 1914, the age will be 116.
millions? may be 1 or 2, but not baptized witnesses. Lets face it,
By supporting, joining wt, you make yourself part of a false prophet entity.

the mistake they made in the 1920s (or 1930s) up through the mid-1990s about the great crowd already existing.
DJ, wt falsely prophesied, in those days. that the Great Tribulation that started in 1914, stopped in 1918/19, and will start again at Armageddon., allowing the Great Crowd to come out during the hiatus.
wt is forced into more false prophecies, because of the old false prophecies,
50 people that were living in 1909 are still alive today btw.

wt is wrong, the "generation" must be the wicked.
by waton inwt wants the generation of 1914 to end soon.
but making the generation anointed contradicts jesus.
jesus said that the end generation would pass away after all these things, including armageddon has occurred so, when will the wicked ( non wt believers) pass away?

is worth less than the ink used to print it.
B. of course, since the whole concept has as a foundation the talking snake story.
However, it is worth its weight in gold when showing the folly in wt's promise of everlasting life in paradise for the current generation alive, tied to the 1914 kingdom rule. so:
Here is the scenario for a 1 123 year long lasting wicked generation in current wt doctrine.
Really old ladies in 4 care homes, in Southern France, Sardinia, Okinawa and Loma Linda*, give the "proverbial cup of water" to jw caregivers, or visitors, so as to get their assured "prophet's reward." (Math.10:42)
They were babies in 1914, now feeling satisfied near their 120 birthday celebration . . Medical art has improved, the year is 2034.
Armageddon strikes, and despite the candles on the cakes, they must be shielded as per bible promises.
They navigate successfully the new laws in the "new scrolls" of the wt millenium, but find themselves in the four corners of the Earth, during the "final test", sympathising with the dissenters there. As a generation that saw all these things occuring and more, they die, looking like teenagers, like Eve. There it is,the 1 123 year old wicked generation, better than the overlapping anointed, already false wt prophecy.
* A stronghold of a "Babylon the Great" branch.
