  What was the defining moment that started your becoming a JW ?

  let me explain what i mean: i was in the company of a workmate when i looked at my hands and my arms and pointed out the veins and said something like look at that, isn`it amazing how veins and arteriies circulate the blood through our bodies ?.

  he later explained to me he wasn`t sure what he should say to me as we had been working together for about six years and he had never once brought up about his jw background .he was what we would call a weak witness and he considered me a street kid who swore and drank too much.

  i was twenty years old at the time.. i can`t remember the actual conversations that transpired ,but thats what started me down the road to becoming a witness and then convincing my gf to join me and about two years later we were married in a kh.. can you point to any one thing or conversation that started you down the road to becoming a witness?.

  Here with me, a workmate too, it had something to do with witnesses not being in the army, not "destroying the Earth" in war. ( he had been a cook in the Waffen SS) he was cooky too, war experiences and to much lead in his system from work. I was baptised 6 month later, pioneer 6 month after that. special a year after that., back to semi-normal in 1975

  Single Pretty Girls that are JWs, have so much potential, but sadly........

  the pandemic has made the situation worse for single young jw girls.. i'm hearing tons of sad stories of single jw girls who are going, or have gone into deep depression.

  with many having thoughts of committing suicide and hoping for a better life in the new order.. the pandemic has made it almost impossible for young jw girls to find a suitable marriage mate.

  especially since the single jw boys-men want young, gorgeous, thin, virgins, who look like models and summit to the headship arrangement.

  There were also a fair number of well groomed, "zealous" young men involved who, sadly for the girls, seemed to be completely uninterested in the opposite sex.

  Q that's a fact, and it must have something to do with monsanto, dupont bayer, the hormones that are the residue of those treatments in our food. You cant grow big udders in cows without depressing the the opposite gender, depressing sex.

  Alex, hope that you are coping with your loss, we are a helping people here, dealing mainly with the loss of faith in the wt religion, which is a good loss. We dont know how your loss occurred, if it was through a divorce from an unfaithful person, that was a good loss. The reason I agree with Simon and smiddy that this might not be a good place for inviting replies to help you --- is, that some members here have repudiated all restraint that religion imposed on them. some, not all.

  You would be better served to expose your plight on a site that caters to those that are totally committed to religious values, strong-three-stranded marriages, "angelic", even pastor / elder supervision. Covit permitting I would recommend the orient, where family values are still strong. start with Luzon island.

  Headship and WT's Changed Understanding

  i don't think anyone has mentioned that the february 2021 study wt (p. 15, 16; par.

  8) changed wt's long standing view on headship within the congregation.

  wt used to view all baptized males as being the head of all baptized sisters.. this view led to such absurdities as a sister having to wear a head covering on a bible study because her baptized 10 year old son was sitting in on the study with her.

  they are not every sister's head, BUT that it's for organization's sake

  nbd: The basic premise is, that the males have the teaching role, the firstborn males in the family, tribes.

  whenever a lady has to step in, she covers her head. no big deal all ladies had their head covered all the time back then in bible writing times. so:

  when "sisters" now have the major teaching role in the comments on wt material, at least they should cover their head. but as 1 Cor 14, 1 Tim. 2. clearly states, be quiet for a change to at least give a veneer to the claim that wt is a bible based organisation.

  Eve, assumed to be in the nude, should have had a headcovering, because she spoke for the small congregation she was part of. or call her husband and then take the covering off.

  Even the older guys will have their eyes on the younger woman in the congregation.

  r123, that is a given, marriage is about procreation, having and taking care of children. and wisdom (the bible) and evolution demand that beauty (for future, the kid's) mate selection) and yes, a small waist, are essential.

  Beauty is divine. Young and old should rise to the occasion to perpetuate it.

  I do not see these days among the young singles the urgency that the damned -( not cursed but restrained) - up sex drive leads forces them into marriage. With the many eligible young sisters and brothers within the horizon, the place should be quivering with tension, sparks flying, where is it gone?

  they should take an example the royal family, the fashionable hats in public for the ruling ladies.

  wt writers cite the example of the apostle Paul's respectfully honouring sisters, (as these surely deserve!), but wt lyingly hides his direct instruction, the "Lord's commandment" on women teaching in the congregation. keeping silent. 1 Cor 14. ITim. 2. and

  Trying to hide, absconding their, wt's, the GB's personal responsibility for failures --by saying again the 3rd time:" we are not master's over your faith" therefore fate, --- and downloading responsibility for elder's appointment, actions on the hapless, asset-less Circuit Overseers. in effect saying, if you follow us and failed, no now life now, it is your fault. your foolish faith.

  wt admitting slyly, that sisters teach in the congregation , not the "benjamins", junior males, but really the big cheeses in the congregations too. so,

  a masterly whitewash of the ideas, the truth behind the power structure of the supposedly only rue biblical religion"

  worthy of the talking snake story, where the lady took the lead down the garden path, the man better follow suit or suffer the consequences. and religion has profited ever since.

  pp: The case of inviting 10 virgins ( alluding to the end time parable) is extreme. A wise dude will wait until "Miss Perfect" earns that honour, because the invite is the signal that the hunt is over.

  A career advancement through marriage would be a beta male marrying the chubby daughter of the alpha elder. an advancement earned with a really high price to pay. --"the earth will not stand still under a woman given in marriage without love" earthquake explanation in the bible.

  Watchtower caught lying about the real reason Beth Sarim was built

  another incredible catch from a you tuber, this time jane doh, who caught watchtower fooling us again, this time over the reasons beth sarim was really built.. of course we knew rutherford lived in beth sarim during the winter (ostensibly because of his poorly chest🙄).

  however even we didn't guess he blatantly got the poor jws, or bible students as they were, to cough up from the proceeds of their book sales enough to buy him a "cali-fornication" mansion (for he & the girlfriend😜) with absolutely no pretence (at the time) it was for the "ancient worthies".that came later.... how did she know?

  because at the time it was built, in the 1920s, watchtower had no belief that anyone was to live on a "paradise earth" - they had not even formulated the concept of a paradise earth yet for the ancient worthies to live on and believed all jws were to live in heaven.

  Procedure Question Involving GB to Make JWs Think

  since leaving the jws the governing body upgraded their status to being the "faithful & discreet slave".

  in a sense, the gb declared themselves the 8 popes of wallkill.

  absolute, unquestioning loyalty to the gb has become the central belief of the watchtower and declared the only source of salvation for the "great crowd".. the gb has instructed their followers to believe what they say and only believe what they say.

  Given that there are star performers, like Peter Paul and Mary, John and James, who never made it into the F&DSlave, are already in heaven, since 1918, and they would welcome the real now dead slave up there, , all that influence would surely result in a proper, "spirit directed" succession procedure.

  If that catastrophe would be the onset of the GT, we would be talking about the beginning of the new World order. now,
