the watchtower teaches that the opportunity to be born again and enjoy complete justification with god ended in 1935, having been limited to only 144k since pentecost.
so, it is very surprising that the watchtower embraces the death that is described in romans chapter 6, since this is the very death that is required to be born again…… which is denied to watchtower members!
romans chapter 6, verse 7 is about saying goodbye to the old personality, the “old man” in the king james version.

i remember knowing some jws that expressed their own personal viewpoints regarding what a scripture meant that was at odds with society teachings.
in the 60 and 70’s, that was pretty much tolerated until the great purge in 1979 and 1980. as a matter of fact, it wasn’t unusual for witnesses to get together and discuss personal questions and viewpoints they might have.
it wasn’t unusual to send letters to the society asking what was considered the right or wrong view.
those who leave for the reason of 607 been wrong

most jws to day come from families that have a long, or short line of christian family members.
given that since christ, only 80 per year on average were deemed by wt to be true followers of him, worshipping the father, worthy of life, and there is, in wt's view, no redemption for those at variance with " the truth", .
do they realize that billions of sincere partakers are actually condemned by wt teachings?

PZ right, but it is on these doctrinal details that wt classifies almost all past believers (except ~ 80 per year) to be false worshippers deemed to be doomed at that, their time.
When 30 % of the population died in a medieval pandemics there was better reason than the 1914 overlapping generation groups to believe, that the end with apocalyptic horsemen was near. Millions died but only 80 made it to the wt resurrection in 1918.
