well, Sex and nakedness were always implied to be the original sin in the story's popular interpretation.

Even in science, it's origin, re-creation, extra terrestrial, is kind of a holy grail.

harnessing, controlling it would be a natural for religion, dealing with the unexplainable.

Jesus went even further than Paul, lecturing that even a visual sin " persistently looking with intent at a woman " would end you in gehenna, the eternal fire. Paul: " it is better to marry than to burn"

The key word is adultery, which specifies that either the looker or the target that the look is locked on is married, an arrangement to produce and rear stable offspring., a stable society.

It makes the same activity legit, kind off, among scanning singles.

imagine modern day "Eli's sons" scanning the offerings at the hall, the assemblies, the zoom gallery.

That's not an unforgivable sin in that there is still time for them to wake up and correct course.D:

Cremation is a non Christian practice so why is it ok?

the point is they use the same type of reasoning as to why we can't do other things such as birthdays.

An earth burial might be 10 times more costly than a cremation or chemical disposal. So, there might not be a free will choice, Hope more "green burial" arrangements will be developed. Why pollute the atmosphere rather enrich the ground?

here is a brother who really thinks that elders are there to help him after admitting that he cheated on his wife.

his conscience is bothering him to the point of letting elders know all the details of his affair.

( his affair should have been private, between himself and his wife ).

Shepherds are the most dangerous class of people for the herd. they are the once that make sure they flock is slaughtered, fleeced and do not escape.

Of course they tone down internal conflict, stressed sheep do not gain weight or produce. but in the end, the sheep illustrations are are powerful hidden message to the wise.

The Watch Tower Generation

it so happens that my grandfather and i share the same birthday; -- this month.

i lived with him from 1930 to ~ 1947. so, following the parenting pattern in our family, he would be born, be alive by ~ 1880, the same age as the "watchtower magazine" , therefore, you could say, we both lived in the wt era, right ?

dare we say we belong to the wt generation,?.
