  What to do with old publications

  hi guys,.

  it's been a while since i posted here, but i feel like posting again.. it's hard sometimes to find the energy to post here after i expend all my time working a full time job and pretending i care about the wt$ at the same time.. i've been trying to slowly wake my girlfriend up ever since i first posted here, and i must say it is a long waiting game that i am playing right now.

  almost all my efforts are dismissed and i've been slowly losing hope.. anyways, what i meant to really post here today is about old publications.. honestly anything that has to do with the watchtower and jdubs, as of recently makes me feel like vomiting.

  Don't destroy them.

  Some are very useful, take the proclaimers book. At the hall, a brother during the public talk fudged the "will never die" dateline, perhaps reading from the outline, and I was able to show him after the talk from the kh library, the 1918 date for that false, failed prophecy. later

  i have noticed that the foolishness of jephthah's vow to sacrifice his daughter gets bandied around a lot as somehow approved of by god.

  i never could understand how people could come to this conclusion.

  if i wrote about something terrible that my son had done, that doesn't mean that i am for that thing.

  WTB&TS And The Lawyers They Employ.

  i have been thinking about the legal departments that look after the wts interests around the world.i can`t believe these legal eagles offer their services on a voluntary basis like the r&f do.and i don`t believe their services would come cheap.. as an organization the size of jw.org and its offshoots of companys and interests around the world ,the cost of keeping them gainfully employed must amount to a considerable sum of money.. especially the law suits against them with child abuse court cases that arise on a regular basis ,and the government inquiry`s into the jw religion that is happening in different countries now.. all paid for by the voluntary contributions that come from the r&f for the worldwide preaching work .. contributions to pay for the wt organization`s legal department to defend themselves in court ?.

  did jesus and the apostles pay lawyers to defend them in a court of law with funds donated by their supporters ?.

  s3: even the despised craft of legal experts is known to take fee-free cases, when it suits them in suits. One might get the name in the news, and accolades, even front page of a national magazine as man of the year. oreven be convinced to be doing the "Lord's Work" so.

  Yeah it is tough, better to have smithy, 'smithy & smithy' on retainer , or pro bono on your side.

  not in hThe reality is, every "church" that is not part of the Catholic Church is a form of idolatry.

  tbk: there is no more blatantly idolatrous outfit than the RC church, but so what?

  Infidelity amongst JWs

  does there seem to be a higher incidence of infidelity amongst the jws?.

  my brother, who is an active jw and ministerial servant, has an elder friend who was recently disfellowshipped for having an affair with another sister in the hall.

  it turns out this sister was divorced a few years earlier from a "worldly" man who had an affair on her.
