The arms of the galaxy are in turn moving around as well. Its like a beautifully orchestrated ballet.
HS, I know you do not like the negatives, but the arms of the galaxies are almost stationary, standing waves. it is the material that is orbiting the center, and moving through them.
Fits your analogy though, certain features of history remain, different entities, empires move through the same stages, pressures, creations, etc. interesting.

in tight pants tony's part, he mentioned several times that jehovah draws those he chooses and only those rightly disposed would come in.
and individuals that liked the literature but made no progress towards becoming jw were a "waste of time".. was he setting the stage for them introducing the thought of predestination?

Every result is preceded by a cause, so in a short time span, pre-destination may be true.
I do not think D.S. relishes having to front for wt doctrines. One can develop a serious case of Foot in Mouth disease from that. He looked so uncomfortable in front of the generation chart that illustrated the absurd overlap, but in the process showed the blunder of contradicting Math 24: 34, showing the predestined demise of the partakers, before the generation goes off the chart, as it is supposed to.
Videos like that are a permanent record of your personal failings. you make them at your peril. no more anonymity for wt contributors.

JWs report free slave time because that is the only charitable works the society can show .
People with a certain rior mindset would be receptive to become witnesses, it is not predestined. H2H work on saturday, Sundays anois people enogh, and stresses the preachers to weed out weaklings.
The cliques in the congregations really despise the "other" ones that "Jehovah" is supposed to have chosen.

If it is the "anointed" sheep generation, they must die before the end, not after.
If it is the "other" sheep, are they not supposed to pass away too, after all occurred; as prophesied?*

* last verse says the sheep ''go off into everlasting life, but it also says the generation will pass away,. everlasting life only in the afterlife?

How/when did you become a jehovas witness?
by Lewis1998 inso i've been a protestant for most of my life, it's how i was raised, but recently i started questioning my faith more and more and now i feel like my beliefs resemble that of a jehovas witness rather than a protestant.
i don't know any jehovas witnesses, so i was just wondering how a lot of you found the religion and adapted to it?.

I was a protestant and accepted wt beliefs because my grandparents were true believers, with an ancient Lutheran Leather bound bible***, (I never read) that contained the wt answers to wt questions That I never had never a reply too, war, lefe.
Now I realize, that the bible , really ancient is as wrong as the concept the writers had at that distant past.
Before going into more bible details, using wt hype, study the fables, scientific untruih that this un-inspired book contains.
*** their most costly posession by far.

Who is the "faithful and discreet slave"? & JW class system
