  jesus in hebrew means "savior' and christ in greek means "messiah".

  these are identifiers --not names in jesus case.. where did the name christ come from, his parents???

  .time remaining remains time....time is a nebulous concept. .. tiki:

  a profound statement of yours. because while we have been able to change matter into energy, and back, travel with ease through the 3 space dimensions, time is duration ( from the french word "dur" = hard) and durable. we have not changed it.

  whether time is a dimension through which we move or not, we live in the "now" a length of zero size, and we can perceive to exist only because our nervous system is so slow. Allowing us to watch a flowing movie made of still images.

  The OP wanted to talk about Satan's time which in ~100 CE or 1914 was supposed to be short, and he knows it, That wt card is not a joker but a joke.

  if “tree of good and bad” were literal, it would mean adam and eve would know what is “good and bad” only after eating of that tree.

  however, even before eating of it, they would think “it is good for us to eat of this tree” which means they are already endowed knowledge of “good and bad.” that means “tree of good and bad” is symbolic of something.. since religious organizations interpret this differently, each reader has to adopt his own conclusion.

  for me it looks like this: one thinks of good and bad in relation to himself—if something is beneficial for him he would say it is good for him, and bad for him if it is not beneficial.

  fingerpointing can go a long way, from those demanding a smaller carbon footprint i.e insulation to burn less fuel, to those demanding low or no rent. profit driven, squeezed contractors, .... a tragic way to live and die, even seeing your children die as you succumb too. Far from the green field of your youth. Time for reflection of all of us to do better.

  Do not demand what London can do for you, but what you can do for London. or?

  jws and other christians would often point to the handful of the bible verses that seem to be scientifically accurate as evidence of its divine inspiration.

  but not surprisingly, they ignore the ones that are scientifically inaccurate, or when they address those verses they put a spin on it like saying the account is not a reflection of what the bible is teaching but what men at the time erroneously believed and which god allowed them to record in the bible.

  would you believe a jw actually told me that!

  The Earth is held against gravity by the energy of its orbital motion, resulting in the centrifugal force away from the Sun, balancing that pull for the last few billion years.

  energy is not nothing, There is enough energy in one gram of matter to really spoil your day. energy matters, it is not with nothing that we are still up here 150 million km above.
