by careful inas some have recently posted here, there does seem to be a shift going on in their self-interpretation(s) of what happened in 1918 and 1919. if we can look past all the details that emphasize the poor thinking and poor wording (or contradictions/just plain craziness/insignificance) of their message, something bigger seems to be afoot.
they appear to be attempting to redefine the meanings for some "prophetic" scriptures in light of themselves.
1. they are trying to somehow fill the void they have themselves created from their rejecting freddie franz's (ff) type–anti-type postulations.

The new light from last week's wt is that they were not taken into captivity in "babylon" but by the superior, secular authorities. Tying it to the preaching work is just to scare the present day jws to "not give up"

by dubstepped inmy wife and i were talking about how religions claim to be directed by god, yet god never seemed to let any of them know about the danger of sexual predatora to children.
the it hit me, does the bible say anything on the subject?

What's preventing YOU from stopping meeting attendance?
by nicolaou inwe all 'exit' in our own way and at our own pace but i'm curious, why carry on stuffing yourself into that stiff suit and tie or meeting dress years after you realised the truth about 'the truth'?.
they kept you a prisoner, what's stopping you from leaving now that you have the key to your own cell?.

The past idea about the 1914-1919 events was a reassembled house of cards that supported all following predictions, 1975 and all. but particularly the latest GB = Faithful & Discreet Slave of 1919 cornerstone.
With the 1918 captivity and release from "Babylon tg" removed, that house of doctrinal cards is actually collapsing, and with it the legitimacy of the WT's claims.

That applies only to k/halls, not assemblies, conventions, where the rush to get front seats is one of the proofs that this can not possibly be the true [christian] religion.
At the kh, the perspective, overall vision is bad from the very front rows. you look bad snoozing too.

Not in every culture are ladies able or primed to give the proverbial kick to the groin to inappropriate advances (to a married woman) for example. Even the inherent friendliness warmth of the orientals can be seen as a mis-cue for love - starved males.
Wt with it's invasive rules, leaves no outlet for the hormones' action, which was good when population size mattered. So:
what should be the overseer's role in this, are the husbands, absent, disfellowshipped, old, --left to their own devices to head off amorous advances, attacks on their families ? overt or subtle?
