As to 'new world' reproductive rights, wt went as far as claiming that menopause would not be reversed for survivors of armageddon, in the process to regain perfect health.
do men undergo menopause? many in bible-times did not have sons until 120 years old.

seniors in general are fine, happier than young people. I dont think we are thinking much about the resurrection, because:wt has lied to us about life everlasting, uninterrupted in 1914, 1918, 1925, 1942, 1975, 2000 now 2075. so,
with a record like that, why would we even think of the wt promise of a return to life?
you believe in a resurrection? lets die, and find out.
dying will be easy. the wt hope has nothing to do with it

Afghanistan-Kabul falls to Taliban - U.S. Embassy staff evacuated by helicopter
by fulltimestudent inin a scene reminiscent of the fall of saigon, the usa embassy staff have been evacuated by helicopter.. for a third time in asia ( a fourth, if you count usa supported chiang kai shek's defeat in mainland china) usa supported forces have been defeated.
more than 1 trillion dollars wasted and a huge deathtoll (both sides) afghanistan is back to where it started,.
will the taliban behave differently this time ?

The Chinese already started to take over the country in forms of military and infrastructure.
AM sure hope so, because as has been pointed out. The Taliban are not a monolithic force. splinter groups can wreak havoc, ideologically and militarily on the hapless population.

If all GB members died at once?
by Jofi_Wofo ini don't suppose anyone knows for sure, but do we have any kind of hint of what would happen if all of the governing body members died at the same time- such that nobody was left to appoint successors?
in lieu of any solid evidence, i'd also be interested in hearing some speculation based on what we already know about the organizational structure.. it would certainly throw a wrench in either the teaching that the faithful and discreet slave will survive into the great tribulation and/or the implied doctrine that the the gb succession arrangement is justifiable biblically.
let me firmly disclaim any implication that i am encouraging violence or wishing death on the governing body.

Would not the GB go up to heaven with ------ the start of the Great Tribulation?
Or: yes, but there might be other partakers still around after their departure. and, since the rest of the :anointed are already in heaven since 1918. that will be quite a cast of characters, judging by their antics on earth, they could fight to their hearts delight, all being immortal. btw.
that why wt is wrong, again, because according to Jesus, the last generation will not pass away at the start of the Great Tribulation, but "after all these things have come to pass".
imagine upon arrival, stepping out of the elevator, , Jesus telling them:
"what are you guys doing here? I said to wait until it was all over! here it is in Math 24: 34. did you not read the apostate reminders on all your goofs?

Waton tress are said to sing praises to Jehovah in 1 Chronicles 16:33.
sbf: would not doubt it. soundboards of violins, pianos, cellos, guitars are all fashioned out of old growth tree trunks. Trees are noisy in the wind.
still think there is a gap in the story about the tree of life in the middle of the garden.

Don’t Trust the Courts! Splane’s Latest Anti-Apostate Talk
by StephaneLaliberte indavid splane’s talk “put up a hard fight for the faith” was that last talk presented on the saturday of the annual convention.
this talk was to largely address apostates and restated ideas and arguments often presented before.
however, this year, watchtower is spending more time in disqualifying negative findings originating from secular courts and here is the segment of interest here: .

jesus gave a practical answer, because heavenly or terra (flesh and blood) , who would the much married lady, (the ja ja Gabor of the first century), pick for eternal bliss?
with many dead mates having payed for their sins, survivors have found very fulfilled lives with the replacements. without worries about jalousie spoiling the fun in the "world to come".

wt, the bible ? introduced the idea of "children of the resurrection" instead of "offspring of Adam".
The later can procreate, the resurrected ones not.
wt says that jesus was talking to people with an earthly hope (until pentecost) and for that reason the "no marriage", no procreation no sex desire/agony applies primarily to the earthly resurrection, but obviously, definitely to the 'spiritual' one.
In a recent funeral talk the widower was deftly spared these detailed ramifications.
