something i've notice with born in jw kids posting on reddit, is that they have no problem telling off the elders.
this generation of born in jw kids just have no fear of who the elders represent because they know from researching on the internet, that jehovah is a created character by ancient people, and no different or real, than thanos.. these kids know exactly what's going on with the child sexual abuse in the organization.
they also have read and memorized the elder's book online.
Most of them are just waiting their time out until they turn 18 and move out.
pp. and they are encouraged to move out because the elders are afraid of the elders . The parents that are elders that is, -- because one little faux pas by the kid while living at home will cost the parent their prestigious position. regarding what some have said here about the wt being a false prophet.. i would like to make my point regarding the wt not being a false prophet... so please, if you can be patient enough to read this, at least try to understand what i am getting at.. a false prophet is one who, according to deuteronomy, makes a false prediction of the future and claims that the prediction came from god, or in other words claiming that 'god has said he will do a certain thing at a certain time' etc.. for example, hypothetically speaking, if someone had claimed: "god will bring about the end of the world in 2010", they would have been proven to be a false prophet, obviously.
but, as an example, imagine a man who claimed the position of a prophet of god, (as moses did, because although he was not the type of prophet that predicted the future.. he was still a prophet or spokesman for god) and that he had publicised worldwide, according to his interpretation of a (for example) prophecy found in the book of isaiah, that the world would end in 2010.. and he had also stated that he was not saying that god will end the world in that year.. but only that there was biblical evidence that god might do so.
that would clearly have been a mistake.
and it is not just about predictions. prophets might maintain to speak for god ! period!, or expound about current realities.
during the 1920 ies, 30, 40 50, wt removed The Father and Son from their supreme position, and classed them only as the superior authorities, whos' identity through context and by "false religions" was identified as the governments and agents, from the dog catcher to the likes of Hitler.

Prophecy can be understood and properly interpreted after its fulfilment, or when in course of fulfilment.

With their anointed generation, and heavenly resurrection since 1918, wt makes that an ongoing prophecy, and they predict that the "anointed" will all have passed away to heaven by the beginning of the "great distress"

ok, i would like to submit to the forum the following question: in abstract, do you think that there is a right to not being exposed to ideas that you don’t like or disagree with?
please think it through and its implications on both ends of the spectrum.. it’s not the right to conscientious objection to do something you vehemently disagree with; it’s not about the liberty to chose which ideas you want to embrace or advocate.
it’s something different.. given that, as exjws, we understand the importance of being exposed to different opinions in order to form our own opinion, should someone claim the right not to be exposed to opinions or ideas that they don’t like?
it depends how the idea is delivered. I should have the right to silence instead of unwanted noise.

many that have come to this forum have left the jws religion and moved on with their lives but from a outsider's viewpoint what do think makes the jws religion wrong or incorrect as a active christian faith ?.
somethings come to mind such as its long continuous end times/armageddon soon doctrine which has really been a core doctrine for decades going right back to its beginning .. maybe they should have adopted the stance as other christian based faiths and adhered to jesus's own words when he said " no one knows of the time not even he ".
