Convention invitations

so everyone is supposed to get all excited about the invitation work starting tomorrow, according to the announcement from the platform.. maybe this makes sense if you're giving out invitations in the city where the convention is, but what if you're many hours away?.

a huge part of western canada is scheduled to attend edmonton alberta this july.

so how does that go over giving out invitations in winnipeg, about a 13 hour drive(that's just driving time).. i know some are actually planning on flying there, so i can't see getting excited about getting the public to make the trek.. i was curious how this is going over in other areas?.

If ever just .5 % of the invited come, there would be chaos, there actually is, at 8 am on every day. Why don't they mention the 8 am opening, then the invited would get a taste of Christianity insanity in action, and a foretaste of the "New World" to come. Convention 5 hours away, even an possible overnight wait. nuts for nothing

for some reason i found myself shaking my head once again in disbelief at the story in genesis.. amongst all things, the very concept of a "flaming sword" spinning around and blocking the "entrance to the garden of eden" is so stupid!.

do people really believe that as a fact?.

seriously, swords were not even invented at that time!

It was written when swords were already around. sustained spinning by itself was new though, without axle or visible support, not pivoting on cherub's fingers. Would have looked something like a swastika with the trailing flames. and it was a defensive weapon. any animal casualties? sliced and diced?

Why did one of the cherubs not stop Cain, rather than just standing there? may be he was the first fulfillment of the wt cart cabal ?

There was the "race" question even in the last wt study. par 18 "... prejudice-- hurt you--"

caught one elder in a real bad ethnic ( not black skin) comment. that would be a serious human rights violation in secret judgement sessions for wt.

Obviously, relationships with age differences can be healthy, rebel8:

healthy for the longevity of the human race. There was an article in one of the science sites, that it is the breeding by 80+ year old, viral males , passing on their superior genes to obviously younger females ( not much fertility after 50 there} that has lifted the aged health of the current population. There is apparently at least one over 85 year old father of a toddler on this site.

stuckinarut2 it is the lady that has the last word: "yes".so it is ladies' affirmed choice. men of course do not understand the female makeup, but I could never stomach being married to a person that does not light my fire. so, if ladies do, sorry.

p.s. The older the male, the more help he needs, the younger the female, the more help she provides. win win.

Glad the young lady had a say in it. Wt parents, faced with a Methuselah proposal might argue of course, that in the soon to be liveable Paradise, the double ratio of 18 years difference now, would be ~ 54 girl / 72 geezer ,--- a better matched golden years situation.

One of the couples lived with us for a while, and would I want my beautiful slim daughters be in such a marriage? not really, in an unnatural arrangement. I want to see grandchildren, raised in healthy family surroundings.

Chook, my objection is not the age difference, it is the institution. of course, the groom would probably be eased out of his GB "position". But I have advocated half seriously that men should not be permitted to have children until age 60, with fat retirement pensions, to look full time after their offspring. vivre la difference, even in age.

FFA - 4H - Conscious matter or not allowed?

i was baptized 4 years ago, i have 2 little girls who love their bunnies, so this year we reached out to 4h and started our own 4h group - this was after asking the elders for counsel.

none provided.

now after doing this for 3 months i am being brought before a judicial committee for neutrality.

Humour helps, thank the elders for re-considering, possibly. Asks them if looking at pictures of the "New World" it is not an agricultural society? it being so close, you give your daughters it head start to feel at home, contribute there, when it comes soon. Even Bunnies will be ok, Abel kept little lambs, although not for food. subtly make them think what happened to those animals. 4H is positive for your daughters now. fulfilled fulfillment.
