Smiddy, you forget that the flood, (just like the future reverting back to paradise) was a time of monumental change. (the pyramids were build at the same time);--after the flood, of all universal, total herbivores, some became meat eaters, so who says the metabolisms in the water creatures were not changed at the same time? after all,

talking too was taken from snakes, and bestowed on donkeys or asses. may be the pre-deluge waters in the heavens had all these phase changing qualities?

Once upon a time there was the Sahara Forest, then came Noah, the preacher of Righteousness, people listened, and started building imitation arks. now we have the Sahara desert. The giant Flood left a giant beach behind. The garden [of Eden] variety of talking snakes became extinct too.

A major misadventure!

hi, everyone.. i haven't posted here much in quite a while, but having just been laid low by injury, i'll likely be a frequent visitor for some time to come!.

two weeks ago, i was involved in a workplace accident that left me with my lower l.h.

leg fractured in three places (the tibia and fibular both broken clean through, plus another crack in the "neck" of the fibular for good measure!

feel with you, hope the finances will be taken care of, stay off the codeine, can do more than digestive trouble, for me it is breathing. enjoy the free time!!!

River flowing from the garden of Eden

hey there.. if this point has been covered before please forgive me.. i have had the principles of noahs flood used by jw's to encourage me to attend meetings recently and this has got me musing about the flood....again.. genesis states that a river flowed from eden and branched out into four rivers, two of which being the tigris and the euphrates.. heres the baffling part; if it had never rained before, how is it that rivers existed before the flood?!!?.

a brief google search tells us that the euphrates begins its journey as snow melt and rain ( as most rivers do) in mountains in turkey.. ecc chapter 1 mentions the water cycle and describes the rivers flowing into the sea but the sea not becoming full.

how did it work pre-flood?

Well all I can say, he had a hell of a anchor, a wooden anchor also..LOL

not only the anker, how about the weight of rope, or copper chain ~10 km long? when soaking wet would have surely sunk the ark, already riding at capacity. May be Noah shoveling all the crap overboard, balanced it out, if rigged at midship?

maybe the the Kangaroos, Pandas, Mammoths had been corrupted by the wide-roaming fallen angels too. May there were not only human hybrids, but fiendish fauna far and wide too?

yes, the river is in the city, the city has 12 gates unlike the one or two of Eden, Angels guard them, (swordless) . River and trees of life in Rev. guarded like in Eden.

pretty pictures, important only if there really was a talking snake, and the Earth created in the beginning, instead of 10 billion years later.

SKDitta, Carrying the mythology of those swords into modern warfare is stretching it, let us keep it in the "talking snake book" shall we? The bible story identifies the swords at Eden's entrances to be repellent to the access to the tree of life watered by the river. in Rev 20/21, the denouement, The gates are guarded by angels again, barring the access to the river, and trees of life, for the unworthy. so, River in Eden, River in the 1000 year paradise.

Rutte's tough stand against the Turks probably cost Wilders. He outwildered the real one.

The bill for lack of identifying the real dangers ahead, will come in later. Perhaps foreign powers will not be stopped again.

Rotterdam is less than 50% original Dutch. it is not called Rotterdam for nothing.

PS there are moves underway to give full voting rights to migrants in Europe, migrants voting in elections for their home countries, voting in their host countries, Migrants outvoting the nation builders out of their nests.
