Eschatology based faith

my wife recently took a week off work to pioneer which really pissed me off because it kind of pissed away our summer holidays.

of course i asked my typical questions about " do you actually know what the new covenant is ?

Of course I asked my typical questions about " do you actually know what the new covenant is ? or what is the point of all this time with the new understanding of the faithful slave.

Of course I just got revelations based answers which I have learned not to pay no mind too. There was a time in life when I seriously studied this stuff till I realized its a basically just a wild card in the study of biblical theology. You can basically make the book of revelations say whatever you want too.

When did you realize the WTS is just creating a new religion out of the most debateable parts of the bible ?

Also when you do something like change the meaning of the faithful slave, what the hell do you really get out it ?

Our speaker gave some nutty explaination about how the term born again was misunderstood. I found it quite offensive.

of course in the jws i thought only 144,000 are truly born again and are part of the new covenant but the bible says else wise.

i know most here will disagree with me but try to have a open mind here :).

I just got back from the memorial and just got that cock and bull story how God picks out his born again.

Then I started to think isn't the whole new testament essentially the story of becoming the new person in Christ?

It's really amazing the amount of dogma they can pull out of the book of revelations with ignoring the rest of the book.

I think the slippery slope arguement of not going after hate groups and family destroying cults is a paranoid American fantasy.

You do realize saying whatever you want when ever you want is kind of a western concept that seems quite strange to some people.

Let's say you were living in the midwest United States and every Saturday morning you would receive a knock on your door from two strange and neatly dressed people.

They tell you your church you attend is controlled by Satan, its amoral to aid in the defence of the country, the government is controlled by demons and having any political leanings is wrong.

Then they tell you there are seven magical men Moscow Russia that are a channel to God and though your works and obedience these men and the organization they lead you can be saved.

Good god the arrogance of made in the USA cults is unbelievable.

my wife was recently cornered by the elders about her blood card because she didn't have one.

so one elder witnessed her sign it and he signed it and one elder made himself her health care agent.. with the memorial coming up i am thinking of maybe having a life insurance policy drawn up, maybe in the amount of 300 or 400 dollars a month and i will ask these two dipshits if they would like to sign it.

it only seems fair they should be finicially responsible for my son since they made my wife sign a document endangering her safety.. what do you think?.

The elders were checking. My wife lost her card years ago and never bothered to replace it. I hope secretly she may not agree with it.

Now they stand over you and witness you sign it and mostly likely have a copy of it on record. It's absolutely disgusting.
