That pretty well sums it up.

Hah...crooks.....those guys have quite the operation going on....
And even though I know the answer I have to keep asking WHY don't people see that?. Where I am a resolution was just passed to send $2,500.00 (US) to the branch to get three TV's for the indoctrination videos. That means the $2,500.00 they JUST SPENT for a screen and projector is gone with nothing to show for it anymore! That doesn't include the $$$ spent for TWO brand new computers in the last year, one of which "disappeared" when the second one was bought.
I did a little snooping in the library when they forgot to hide the accounts box and found the resolution. It had no date, no signatures, and under the "In Favor" spot simply handwritten "all". I know for a fact that my hand was up when asked those "opposed". The count on the attendance sheet for that night showed 14 on the phone tie-in. None of them even voted.

The cleaning bug
by Steel ini have a wife that literally cleans the house 24 7. it's hard on our marriage, our son has no natural affection for her.
if we go to an assembly she literally spends two days waxing and polishing the car.
she hand washes all the clothes before go into the washing machine because no machine could ever do as good a job as her.

Ever see 50 people do the job of 3 , and take the same amount if time to get it done.
If only. Where I am it is usually the opposite, 3 trying to do the work of 50 and expected to get it done in one-third of the time. That is why it gave me such pleasure to inform the eldumbs that if my beard disqualified me from every other "privilege" they could insert the cleaning "privilege" rectally too.

Jehovah's Witnesses Crime Against Grammar
by Simon inso this is really starting to grate on me the more i think about it because it's just wrong grammatically.. one of my friends always refers to me used to being "a jehovah witness" which used to grate whenever she said it but now it seems more correct.. think about it this way: bruce springsteen has fans.
they are fans of bruce springsteen or, bruce springsteen's fans.
but each of them isn't a bruce springsteen's fan.

Remember when saying you were a JW would get you chastised for being disrespectful because you were taking God's "name" out of the phrase? Now it's JW this, and JW that from the top down like there is no tomorrow.

‘the Foundation’, is pleased to announce the sale of the Convention Centre
I'll just bet they are. More $$$$$ in their pockets.
And I notice under the disclaimers they say they are not responsible for any omissions, mistakes etc. Well I guess so much for speaking the truth, even IF that is standard legalese language. They could still be truthful if the WANTED to.

How many times jehovah is said in a prayer
by Normalfulla inso there was this particular elder in my hall who when giving a prayer would say "jehovah" waaaay to much it was ridiculous, we ended up having a count every time he gave prayer, most of the time it was 15-18 but once he topped 20, if u say it out loud 20 times you'll see how weird it is, like when do you ever in a conversation say someone's name that many times in 2 or so minutes,!

He could have stared us in the eye and said "even with a dog's head nuzzling my groin I maintained my spirituality."
Judging by the majority of circuit overseers I have known that was probably the closest he got to getting any. . .

So, how did the 'beard article' go over yesterday at your congregation?
by neat blue dog inat mine the conductor was somewhat awkward and minimal and there were nervous chuckles from the audience.
two people, including an elder, gave reasonable comments that it's okay as long as it's not extreme styles, etc.
but then another one of the elders commented that nothing has changed and they still aren't proper locally.

No comments in favor, all comments against where I am at. I sat there with a stony stare on my fully bearded face, locking eyes and making the conductor break his gaze. Several comments referred to the "all things are lawful, but not all things are advantageous" drivel.

Guys were you ever on security at the assembly K.H ? Tell us your funny story's
by karter ini was on security at an assembly and we were told not to let anyone no matter who they were in before 730 am .
this bro who was always full of himself come along and wanted to be let in i said we were under strict instructions not to let anyone in before 730. he kept trying to talk me around and failed so he said " do you know who i am "?
i said " yes a humble servent of jehovah just like the rest of us".

I worked counting room security (we all know how important money is to the WT). The instructions were that NO ONE was allowed in to the counting room without showing a special red badge that was under their ID badge. A pompous jack-ass who was convention overseer came strutting up and tried to walk past me. I stopped him and asked to see his pass. He arrogantly said, "You KNOW me. (I knew him for years) I am the CONVENTION OVERSEER!. Let me by!" I again refused, physically blocking his way. He ran off to get the department head. When they came back he complained bitterly about my "disrespecting him." The other brother said, "Where is your pass?" When he wouldn't provide it again that other guy sent him on his way, mumbling about how nobody respected his position.
Just another reason I became FedUp

Sex & Divorce
by IMHO in1. you can't have sex until your married.. 2. you're not married until you've gone through a legal ceremony.. 3. you get 'unscriptually' (although legally) divorced therefore not 'free' to remarry'.
4. can you still 'scriptually' have sex with your former spouse?.

Suspicious Attitude Toward Married Brothers...
by JW_Rogue inthis is kind of different but i just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this.
it seems that younger married brothers are viewed with a certain level of suspicion in the congregation.
it's like the elders can be friendly with everyone in the hall including younger sisters.

Where I am, for the sake of still in family, segregation by gender is a big thing. Brothers avoid sisters and sisters avoid brothers like the plague. The prudes running this congregation seem to think that just the act of talking to someone not of the same gender is tantamount to engaging in sexual intercourse, sick ba5tards!
