  wifi is great.

  it's so easy and convenient.

  but it can be slow.. years ago when it first came out you maybe had a pc and a couple of other devices at most.

  Interesting, need to check on limitations. I have an office separate from the main house, but the wifi signal is weak so when I am working at home, I usually work in the house. The electricity from the house powers the remote building (underground cable).

  Could be an option or only works on main circuits in the house?

  How was it when you were a JW as a kid?

  whats worse than being an adult jw?

  when i was a kid i always had a bad concience all the time.

  i believed i would not survive armageddon for the fact that i didn't like going to service and i didnt like going to the meetings.

  My son has been out longer. He just kind of drifted away. When I woke up, we had a good conversation when I was last back in the states. I wanted to make sure he didn't hate me for taking away his childhood. He was a JW from birth until his early 20's.

  Suprisingly, he was ok. I think his biggest regret was not being able to be involved with sports. He is not really anti-JW, just not part of it any more. Someone visits him with mags once in a while that he said he glances at. I encouraged him to be polite but firm when refusing their invitations to go to the meetings.

  I think I am actually more upset by it (his lack of a normal childhood) than he is. When I visit my sisters and mother (never JW's) and see all the memories they have of real family outings and get togethers, it really hits me. I got nothing.

  My wife is watching it now. She is in the living room with her iPad and I can tell by the tone and delivery what she is watching. What is really strange is that she just visited my office and offered to make me some dinner (I am working at home this weekend) and suggested some additional possibilities later. Confused.

  She has been really active in service lately. I suspect she is getting some encouragement to pioneer.

  hi... i am new and after nearly 20 years after being disassociated at 15 i would like to make contact with others who have similar difficulties.

  my mother was disfellowshipped shortly after my rebellion and had all ties with both her mother and brother cut and that remains the case.. just really hacked off with not being able to put things in the proper place in my life after all these years.

  for the record i don't know if i believe in god but am searching for some peace as i seem to self destruct on a regular basis.. any ideas anyone?.

  Does Anyone Still Believe in God?

  do any of you ex-jw's still believe in god?

  even with the new rebranding/softening of this religion, i still don't see how people can believe in him.

  the god of the old testimate is an angry murderer who approved rapes and slavery and killed thousands of men, women and children.

  Wow. After reading all 33 pages of this thread I am convinced that Simon is a god or at least a genius. He has 'evidently' created sophisticated bot software to emulate all sorts of realistic theist-agnostic-atheist-apologist-touchyfeely characters all responding to each other.   My Mom Is Dying

  i just wanted to say that my dear 89 year old mom is terminally ill and will soon pass.

  she is on morphine and hanging on.

  she has been a devout witness for about 60 years and a wonderful mother.
