  The Perfect Storm in 2018?

  i have been sadly watching as the number of jws in other countries are decreasing (for the most part), while the numbers in the us are strangely increasing.

  while i question the organization's self reporting numbers, i think 2018 may be the year for another mass us exodus.

  leah remini's show will be focusing on jws in her show on a&e.

  I watch with interest the parallel between the potential for Watchtower to collapse and the actual collapse of the former Soviet Union. (See link below for explanation on each of the following 5 Reasons for the collapse of the Soviet Union.)

  1. JW.ORG and JW Broadcasting vs Peristrioka and Glastnost.

  2. Aging Watchtower leadership, governing body, elders who are all less spiritually clean vs Aging Politiburo which was less ideologically pure.

  3. Societal shift against Watchtower over ongoing child abuse scandals and extremism (Australian Child Abuse Royal Commission, Banning in Russia, Charity Commission of England, government investigations such as in the Netherlands, TV exposure, court cases involving child abuse) vs Western Aggression against Soviet Union and the cold war.

  4. Watchtower's dwindling donations, the constant selling off of assets, and the circle of internal donations using the same money repeatedly to donate from one WT charity to the next vs Russia's economic failure and over exageration of stock-on-hand.

  5. Apostate movement and reformation movement, both internal and external, and the constant rewriting of doctrinal teachings to patch up failing corporate policies operating under the guise of theocracy vs Soviet Nationalist movement.

  Australian States & Territories Fail to Sign Up on a Redress Scheme For Victims of Child Sexual Abuse.

  at a recent coag {,council of australian governments} meeting the subject/issue of states & territories to sign up for a national redress scheme to compensate victims of institutional abuse sexual and otherwise fell on deaf ears.. not one state or territory agreed to sign up .

  not one.. i am sure the victims of child sexual abuse within various institutions not only the jehovah`s witnesses victims would be very disheartened to learn that.individual states and territories of government within australia do not support a national redress scheme to compensate victims of child sexual abuse .. the south australian govt.

  to my understanding is they will never do so .

  Smiddy, you need to raise your redress concerns, and any specific JW-related concerns, with your local senator. That would be Senator Derryn Hinch, who incidently holds the federal government position of Chair of Joint Select Committee on oversight of the implementation of redress related recommendations of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

  Senator Hinch is the actual person we campaigned for and put in place to represent us victims.

  Perhaps Luke himself in Luke 1:3 contradicts the Watchtower's new interpretation of Luke's involvement in declaring Eutychus dead. Perhaps.
