I spoke to my contact at Brooklyn and asked him to ask the governing body for me.
The reply was "soon, very soon".
here we are on the cusp of the new year, and the 2017 yearbook of jws has still not been released.
jw.org continues to feature the 2016 yearbook in its list of main publications.
in previous years, the upcoming yearbook's annual report on jws was released in november for the january 1st then the feb 1st watchtower, then earlier in december when it was only featured in the yearbook, then more recently with a couple of days of december 25th.
I spoke to my contact at Brooklyn and asked him to ask the governing body for me.
The reply was "soon, very soon".
does any one have any experience with writing to the branch office?
i know they're busy, but while reading through the shepherd textbook, it says to write to them quite a few times.
so if a body of elders write to the branch office, whats the usual wait time for a response?
The generation that received your letter will respond to your letter.
the elders in this area are getting burned out.
i have overheard comments that demonstrate this, but in my dealings with them, i clearly see it.
they can't keep it straight.
JW elders are not conscripted. They volunteered. They had free choice. They have rights albeit at great cost if they assert them.
Only JW children are conscripted. They did not volunteer. They have no free choice. They have no rights.
What sort of a loving god never thanks his volunteer elders but instead demands more and more of their time until they burn out in frustration? What sort of a loving god entraps his volunteer elders and turns on them when they need some down time?
If Jesus' load is light then why is the load of elders so heavy?
found this interesting quasi legal religious statement at the bottom of this 》》》 jw.org page advertising "bible-based books and magazines":.
some updates made to digital publications may not yet appear in the printed edition.. glad to know that jehovah and the governing body have seen fit to inform the entire world that certain doctrinal teachings of "truth" may differ between digital and print edition of the watchtower magazine and bible-based books.
doesn't say much for the credibility of the guardians of doctrine.. confusingly, some of the doctrinal teachings, particularly in the online versions of bible-based books and magazines from the watchtower, have already undergone updates but these updates only appear in the new digital version of the new printed edition.. good thing we have a digital-only version of the "research guide for jehovah's witnesses" which is updated every year to contain all the references to the new teachings and interpretations of the bible.

Good thing we have a digital-only version of the "Research Guide for Jehovah's Witnesses" which is updated every year to contain all the references to the new teachings and interpretations of the bible. Unfortunately this digital publication is not updated regularly to coincide with new digital updates of bible-based books that contain new doctrines and teachings.
This of course begs the following questions:
If the digital publication "Research Guide for Jehovah's Witnesses" refers to a Watchtower publication then is that publication the printed edition or is it the digital edition?
If the digital updates and editions are not available in my language then am I still under the old mosaic law of the Watchtower in the printed edition?
with 2017 fast looming i was looking at upgrading my laptop and was eagerly awaiting the release, and reviews, for the new apple macbook pro series and the promoted longer battery life.. fail ... 3 to 4 hrs for the battery life.
lowsy results also reported by apple discussion members.. new macbook pros fail to earn 'consumer reports' recommendation.

It's just getting worse for Apple and their new MacBook Pro.
Seems it won't connect to any printers you have nor to any peripherals nor to you internet router. Why? They MacBook Pro only comes with a Thunderbolt 3/USB-C port. So you also need to buy, and carry if your mobile, a dongle which doesn't come with the laptop.

But the MacBook Pro does come with a headphone jack for your headphones or earbuds, which, by the way, are no longer compatable with the new iPhone which has no headphone jack.

(isaiah 17:1) 17 the pronouncement against damascus: “look!
damascus removed from being a city, and she has become a heap, a decaying ruin.. .
Wow, a pronouncement that a city in the middle east is going to be destroyed at some point in its existance. No one saw that coming.

Soon, very soon as one generation overlaps another generation the mere mention that Watchtower owned billions of dollars of prime Brooklyn real estate, sold it and pocketed the cash, will be considered apostate talk.
As it is today, the mere mention that Watchtower used dedicated funds to build their president, JF Rutherford, the mansion Beth-Sarim, is called apostate lies.
let's face it, we're all connected now.
we take it for granted that we access our bank accounts from our laptops or phones.
it's so convenient.
How to crack the password on a typical JW not-too-smartphone and donate their entire savings to Watchtower in seven spirit inspired steps
Step 1. Touch screen to activate password prompt
Step 2. Type in the following four digit password number: 1914
Step 3. Press enter
Step 4. Touch bank account icon
Step 5. Type in the following four digit bank password number: 1914
Step 6. Transfer account balance to Watchtower
Step 7. Sit back and observe the start of the great tribulation
it was the year 2011. remember that one?
surprise, surprise -- it wasn't one of their predictions.
it was from one of their competitors, harold camping.. "religious leaders sometimes predict tragic worldwide events to warn mankind and gather followers.
If I remember correctly they couldn't even get the date of the death of CT Russell correct. This error necessitated a revision in the "Revelation It's Grand-Climax" book.
"RELIGIOUS LEADERS sometimes predict tragic worldwide events to warn mankind and gather followers. Doomsday prophet Harold Camping and his disciples widely advertised that the earth would be destroyed in 2011. Needless to say, the world is still here." Watchtower 2014 May 1 p.3
Camping made a prediction that Judgement day would occur on May 21, 2011 and the End of the World on October 21, 2011.
Interesting that Watchtower would knock these particular predictions given their own connection to the dates.
At the time of May 2011 permission was granted for criminal charges to be laid against the "faithful and discreet slave class" in a court in Victoria, Australia. Judgment Day indeed. The charges were filed on July 26, 2011. July 26 is now Watchtower memorial day. The charges were in relation to non-compliance with mandatory child protection laws. This action led to the current Australian Child Abuse Royal Commission into Jehovah's Witnesses.
At the time of October 2011 the "faithful and discreet slave class" ceased to exist and was replaced by the governing body. The death stroke occurred in a court in Victoria, Australia. End of the World indeed.
I predict that one day dates will mean nothing.
