by Tenacious ini can't help but notice how this past year alone has seen the gb start to turn more towards the teachings of the christ instead of peddling their falsities.. study articles have talked in length about the fine works of christ.
assemblies have been dedicated to speaking about christ.
and this month's broadcast is about doing good to others copying the example christ left for us.. what's more shocking is that losch actually says kids should speak, share, and even give food and clothing to non-believers!!

Artemis Legal has fought many institutions for its failures to protect people, particularly children, from sexual abuse. We are currently gathering evidence and encouraging people to come forward to tell their story with regard to abuse within the Jehovah's Witnesses.
Artemis Legal has launched an inquiry into group or class action against the Jehovah’s Witnesses in Australia. This follows criticism by the Australian Royal Commission into the Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse that revealed flaws in the deeply secretive religion’s attitude to dealing with child abuse and in response to a spike in recent enquiries to the Sydney based law firm.
Artemis Legal has over 15 years of experience of fighting institutions who have failed in their duties to protect people from abuse. These include the Catholic and Anglican Church. Jason Moody, the Principal of Artemis Legal says “the code of secrecy is so strong that survivors of abuse by Jehovah’s Witnesses have are only recently starting to contact us. Those accounts are deeply troubling and show a reckless and systematic tolerance of child abuse by some elders and those in authority within this religion. The Royal Commission identified over 1,700 alleged victims of child sexual abuse within the religion of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Australia. The Royal Commission heard that none of those cases were reported to the police by either church elders or by the Watchtower Society. That is unacceptable in our society”.
Artemis Legal is building a war-chest of documentation and information for civil actions in Australia. Jason Moody said recently “The Royal Commission helped give survivors a voice and now we are helping them take on the fight. We currently have over 15,000 pages of documents in our growing war-chest from this and other jurisdictions. In addition we have started assembling a team of experts within their various fields. We are urging survivors not to delay in coming forward and seeking advice”.
Artemis Legal invites anyone who is a survivor of Jehovah’s Witnesses or other institutional abuse to contact them for confidential advice.
The Jehovah's Witnesses have rules that possibly run contrary to good practice rules that minimise the chance of child abuse. Those include:
· Two witness rule- officials cannot accept and accusation of child abuse unless there was a second person who also witnessed the abuse. The organisation considers this to be a protection against malicious accusations of sexual assault.
· Women’s role (or lack of) - As a patriarchal religion, women are to view men as their head. They cannot be part of a judicial committee. This means that a young female victim must divulge details of her abuse in front of three older men.
· Survivors are expected to confront the perpetrator.
· It is not (or was not) mandatory for elders to report accusations of abuse.
· Allegations are not reported to police due to general ‘mistrust ‘of non-witnesses.
· Fear of psychologists- give advice that does not align with Watchtower principles.
· Theocratic War Doctrine – encouraging members to lie and purge themselves if it is in the interests of the church.

Perth serial killer Richard Dorrough had found God and was struggling to live with the guilt of three murders on his conscience when he decided to take his own life last year.
The West Australian [newspaper] can reveal Dorrough, who admitted killing three times in a suicide note, became a Jehovah’s Witness after door-knocking “missionaries” visited his Byford home months before his death.
It is understood he was unable to reconcile his dark past with his new life, prompting his decision to confess to his crimes before shooting himself.
The 37-year-old did not reveal in his note who his victims were or where and when they died.

Growing up as a child I regularly read books featuring demonism, Satanism, paganism, murder, rape, child sacrifices, incest, and genocide. By far my favorite one of these books was the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures. The other books were published by Watchtower.

My suggestion - with the revised "Organized To Do God's Will" book everyone has the legal right to accept or reject the new Terms and Conditions of JW membership. If you disassociate on the basis that you do not accept the new book then this may place the WTBTS in a difficult situation over shunning. This was brought out at the Australian Royal Commission when Angus Stewart questioned Geoffrey Jackson. -

i read about it from the obituary.
jehovahs witness literature was attached to the letter.. in a time when a family is grieving they need to be surrounded by family and friends.

1 A crippled sister in Philadelphia finds it necessary to carry on most of her witnessing activity by writing letters. She keeps very busy in her service to Jehovah and she enjoys good success in her work, receiving many replies to her letters. What does she write in her letters? To whom does she write? Where does she get her addresses?
2 To read one of her letters you would think that she was standing at your door talking to you. Often it starts: “Good morning. My name is————. I am ‘writing to share with you some information the Bible provides on ‘finding the true religion.’ I do hope this will brighten your day.” In continuing the letter she usually uses the presentation outlined in the Kingdom Ministry, putting it in her own words. Yes, she writes her letter just as if she were talking to the person in a friendly manner, face to face.
3 Many in the congregation know that this sister has had good success in witnessing by mail. So they give her names and addresses of individuals to whom they would like her to write. She writes to individuals that she and other publishers have met in the hospital. One brother met a businessman who lived in another part of the country. This man showed interest in the truth. So the brother gave his name and address to this sister, who continued to develop the interest by mail. Some names she gets from the obituary column. Or if there is information in the local paper about new mothers, or engaged individuals, she writes them, sharing good news from the Scriptures to encourage them as they embark upon their new responsibilities. The overseer has gone into the lobbies of apartment houses where the publishers cannot get in to witness, and he has copied the names and apartment numbers off the mailboxes so that this sister can contact these individuals by mail. Names and addresses have been obtained from the phone book as well as other sources.
4 This sister is very busy and very happy in the theocratic privileges that are hers. No matter what our situation in life, all of us can have a share in making the good news available to others, too. Those of us who are physically able will want to use our time and energy in the house-to-house work and other regular features of the ministry. It is not intended that able-bodied publishers and pioneers spend much of their time writing letters. But those who are bedridden, or confined to their homes for various reasons, either permanently or temporarily because of illness, bad weather, or for other reasons, may be able to make good use of their time and energy in Jehovah’s service as outlined above. We appreciate the urgency of the times. Our having as full a share as possible in Jehovah’s service is important, as the time left is reduced.
