it is not a huge surprise and i am not afraid nor "shaking in my boots", however i will admit it is stressful right now.

I never attacked your views, I simply made the factual statement that the scriptures don't ever say Yeshua = Michael. As far as you Ad Hominem attack on me, it is unwarranted. You were not present to hear my assignment. The issue I have is that if the scriptures do not say Yeshua = Michael then a book like the Bible Teach book should be perfectly clear and honest about that fact. Instead, every JW equates Yeshua with Michael because they are told that is what the Bible teaches, which is not proven. The majority of JW's are not students of the Bible, but followers of the GB and accept anything they say, i.e " The Spiritual Mother/Organization teaching.". It would be humble and honest to simply say that we " feel " this or that, but we don't know, instead the WTBTS expects total acceptance of their teachings with the threat of punishment for all who disagree.

big news - i met with the elders last night.

they were not arrogant and they were not mean spirited, but of course we all know they also would not budge from the jw brainwashed beliefs they are sworn to uphold.

i let my light shine, and within two minutes of sitting down with them was no longer nervous.. .

RagingBull, yes I have read some of the Conti case, but not all. There were some clips on JWN mentioning some of the arguments by the WTBTS lawyers. Reportedly in an effort to shift blame off of the FDS, they made the argument that the FDS was only a theological construct and did not " really " exist and so therefore could not be held responsible for anything related to the Child Protection Policy. There was another comment made that the lawyers also denied the existence of JW's in Victoria. It was reported that there was a group of JW's observing the trial, and they let out a gasp of horror when the WTBTS lawyers said those things. I am just wanting to confirm wether or not it happened. I will post the links if I find the videos.

HEY!!! I was born a JW and i resent your unkind remarks! I can explain it. It never happened!! There is no scriptural support for an invisible return! He is supposed to return in the same manner the he left! His followers saw him, he rose up into the air and disappeared from view. So, the exact opposite would be this: He arrives, then appears to his followers again, only this time there are many more followers, and EVERY EYE WILL SEE HIM. The Watchtower view was probably caused by C.T. Russel eating some moldy miracle wheat!

this weekend was the convention for the southern san francisco bay area.

it was held at the santa clara convention center in the silicon valley http://www.santaclara.org/conventioncenter/ which is an improvement over the old s.f.

cow palace which is still used..just not as much.
