I miss my family so much. I thought I was over it but I have breakdowns every few months thinking about my family

as most of you know i have been shunned by my family for 2 years because of a photo posted on facebook of me kissing another girl at a party.

the matter was not dealt with fairly but it is over now and i am 100% certain that jdub org is a cult.

but i miss my family so much.

As you found out that the cultish way of life is not yours you will have to stay loyal to your inner person, your family gifted you with love and good education in the past. But now you are ready to live your life at your conditions.

Dont let yourself get forced to have contact with the club, the society, dont let yourself allowed be treated according their condition but to your conditions. Never go to the meetings again, that is my tip.

Dont go to the meetings if you know that it is nonsense. Better contact a catolic community and speak with a priest about your situation, and then simply find new friends in a new community.

If your family misses you they will find inofficial occassions to see you. Would nt it be allowed for them to have family contact to you and your prospective children ...except of situations concerning spiritual religious matters?.. situation like praying together, birthday parties...tell them that they are mishandling the loving DFSHIPMENT pratice, if they not have family contact.. cause family ties are not to be cut, not to be given up. Phew! Sick with the worst flu like virus in years and nothing I can do about it.

last week i came home from school early not feeling well.

by 5 o'clock i was shaking, had a high fever, body aches all over, headache, nausea, dizziness, muscle cramps everything you can think of.

i thought i was lucky because everyone in my school is sick and i seemed to not get it for weeks.

A clogged nose and sore throat attack me twice each year. Thats a sign that my immune system is active.

You should not forget to relax exhaustingly, because your soul and body now needs a pause and your immune systems wants to recover.

sometimes god approves of war.. sometimes god doesn't approve of war.. when the israelites fought battles and won it was because god blessed them.. when they lost it was because god had not blessed them.. sometimes god fights for oppressed ones.. sometimes they must wait and have faith.. it is so clear that the bible contradicts itself on this issue and that the nation of israel had a totally different view of god than the early christians.

it is also clear that the nation of israel was highly superstitious and would attribute every battle's outcome to the whims of a higher power.

If you still believe, do you go to church?

while i'm still finding my journey and figuring out what exactly i believe in, i'm curious to know if others on this board who do still believe in a god attend other churches and what drew you to them.

sorry if this topic has been brought up before, i tried to do a search, but didn't find what i was looking for.. having been born and raised in jwland, how easily do you give up those doctrines that have been so thoroughly engrained?

even sort of celebrating (more like acknowledging, no party) my son's birthday seemed so strange to me because i've never done that, but it felt good to see him smile about it.

I wish you much luck on your journey. On your yourney you will have to trust to your instinct. What is really important for youself.

If you like communities, You can be openmindend and you should try out different forms of community. Not only the religious groups. Depending on your interests you could e.g. attend meetings of caritative organisations, what would bring satisfaction and recognition.

If you are very engaged in theology and leading of a community you could try a protestant group where women even can be pastors ;-) The same if you like reading the bible and praying together. Many of these groups are very tolerant and have great group activities with caritative character. It may depend on the pastor in the community.
