There is no evidence that man and beast came from he same soup.
That's not entirely true. Have you read the OP?
#1 protein functional redundancy comparing the sequences of amino acids in ubiquitous proteins confirms the relationship between all living things..
#2 dna functional redundancy comparison of the dna that codes for the amino acids of ubiquitous proteins predicts the tree of life with an astonishing degree of accuracy..
#3 ervs endogenous retroviruses that infected our ancestors are found in the same place of the genome of our closest primate cousins..

ND: Each in its own species.
The day a scientist turns a dog into a cat, I will listen.
Ok. But that wasn't your argument. You said you are "baffled" that Cofty would turn a common "Bible belt" belief that "all mankind" comes from the common ancestor Adam and proceed to make it an evolutionary matter.
I was simply pointing out that you have knowingly or unknowingly introduced a strawman, since Cofty's argument is that "all living things", including those not of "mankind", share a common ancestor, one that goes back way before Adam.

Nimble duck: It's a foregone conclusion that it is accepted in the Bible Belt that we all descend from a common ancestor. How you have made this an issue, and made it supposed proof of evolution is breathtaking.
Duck, his statement is that "all living things" share a common descendant, not just "mankind", as you've twisted in your argument.
heard gave 3 talks at the convention.
one thing i noticed rather quickly was how stuck he was to his notes.
he rarely looked up.
IMO Heard and Losch are the worst speakers in the Body. Both barely fit for even the #3 in the Theocratic (old) school.

so everyone is supposed to get all excited about the invitation work starting tomorrow, according to the announcement from the platform.. maybe this makes sense if you're giving out invitations in the city where the convention is, but what if you're many hours away?.
a huge part of western canada is scheduled to attend edmonton alberta this july.
so how does that go over giving out invitations in winnipeg, about a 13 hour drive(that's just driving time).. i know some are actually planning on flying there, so i can't see getting excited about getting the public to make the trek.. i was curious how this is going over in other areas?.
They always came to me to print the address labels for the invitations. Deep inside I'd always think: "Now I have to buy expensive ink cartridges to print these things that no one will actually follow up on"
many of us here have commented on the deceitful friday afternoon video shown at the 2017 rc that discussed 1975.. the video attempted to shift the blame onto congregation members for the fiasco saying, "some were looking to a certain date as signifying the end of this old system of things.".
this same video mentions how, “a few even went so far as selling their homes and quitting their jobs.”.
we all know that the wt leadership created this teaching and endorsed it right up to its abject failure.. now below is the concluding talk given on sunday at the rc.
Crazyguy: Sanchy, is this the last talk that he says this?
haha..I somehow doubt it. I can see them now in the 2040 "Right Around the Corner" conventions: "Evidently, we can reasonably conclude that it appears likely that logically we can say that no more bible prophecies are left to be completed before the impending GT"

..beyond the part where he refers to the 1975 fiasco, the speaker goes on to explain how all of the bible prophecies regarding our time have been fulfilled, even saying that "no prophecy remains to be fulfilled before the great tribulation".
hi everyone.

JT is hillarious... love his subtle (and not so subtle) sense of sarcasm

I felt like I had read elsewhere that only Jehovah had the power to read hearts. Did a bit of research and quickly found this from the 2013 "Imitate their Faith" book, chap 14, parr 9:
The truth is, we should never assume that it is impossible for people to repent—no matter how vicious they may seem to us. Only Jehovah can read what lies within the human heart.
You can't have it both ways Watchtower. Can Jehovah alone read hearts? or can Jesus do so as well?
